The Chordmasters, a barbershop quartet, performs two types of programs. The first lasts about one hour and works best for a seated audience such as luncheons, club meetings, and birthday parties. It is ideal for audience participation.
The second type of program is a Walk-About. This works well where the audience is coming and going at different times such as at corporate picnics and ice cream socials. We will stroll about sing to groups, tables, etc., as the occasion permits.
We will customize our program to your needs. Our goal is to provide "Barbershop Harmony For All Occasions".

The Chordmasters do both Programs and Walk-Abouts.
The Programs last about one hour and works best when the audience is seated and paying attention, especially since they may be requested to participate. Programs work well for birthday parties, luncheons, club meetings, and the like.
The Walk-About works best when the audience is coming and going at various times such as ice cream socials, corporate picnics, etc.
We try to be as flexible as possible and to live up to our motto, "Barbershop Harmony For All Occasions".
Since February of 2001,the Chordmasters Barbershop Quartet, in one formation or another, has performed over 375 times. We have been in Lake Zurich, Waukegan, Lake Forest, Bannockburn, Vernon Hills, Lincolnshire, Northbrook, Glencoe, Evanston, Niles, Chicago, Lombard, Palos Heights, Itasca, Naperville, Wheaton, Bartlett, Aurora, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Elmhurst, Minooka and a few other places in between.
We have sung for "Village Days", business functions, Christmas parties, retirement homes, family reunions, veteran's groups, property owners' associations, volunteer appreciation luncheons, ice cream socials, church suppers, birthday parties, wedding anniversaries and various other functions.
We are all members of the Arlingtones, a barbershop chorus located in Arlington Heights, and of the Barbershop Harmony Society (formerly SPEBSQSA).
Generally speaking, The Chordmasters do not need any set up or special equipment for audiences less than 50. If there are more than 100 in the audience a single microphone with amplification is needed. Between 50-100, it depends on the room acoustics but amplification is helpful.
Our songs, while primarily in the barbershop style, vary from the classic oldies such as "Aura Lee" to more modern tunes like "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do", from the serious "Precious Lord" to the light-hearted "I Won't Call You Sweetheart". We try to customize our music to fit the occasion and to encourage audience participation.
