Christopher Reyne

My name is Christopher Reyne, and I'm a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Portland, Oregon. I have over 25 years of experience performing solo as well as with various groups, and over 5 hours of original and cover material in my repertoire. From The Beatles, Elton John, David Bowie, and Fleetwood Mac to The Killers, Depeche Mode, Death Cab for Cutie, R.E.M. and Radiohead, I enjoy passionately and professionally delivering rock and indie classics spanning from the 60s to today, as well as performing my own compositions when requested. Music has taken me to every corner of the US, from intimate house concerts to mid-sized venues and everything in between, and performing is truly what fulfills me most.

I am very proficient at playing to a room and setting just the right mood and vibe, whether you're looking for an energetic performance at a private party or relaxed background music for an event you're hosting. I generally will cater each set of music to a particular event based on my experience playing those songs to many different audiences and settings, but am also more than happy to work with you to come up with a playlist that you feel would work best for your needs.

I have a clean and precise sound dialed in through my 120-watt Blackstar Sonnet amplifier that is able to handle and sound great in most sized spaces, but also have a small PA system for larger spaces or when I am accompanied by other musicians. I always try to be mindful of my dynamics and volume levels throughout my performance, and don't want to be the center of attention unless you'd like me to be.
