Class Act Piano

I'm more comfortable as background music than the main event. I prepare a playlist ahead of time with your input as to preferred genres or even specific songs (for an extra fee). I keep the music soft to preserve your ambiance.

I have been playing piano for 36 years (since I was almost 5 years old) and teaching it for 16, and I'm still in love with it! I have 28 students across the age and ability spectrum. My own children are growing up, and I now have more time for performances myself. I was classically trained but have a love for jazz and contemporary music, and I have perfect pitch, so I can learn almost any song by ear, as long as it translates well to piano. I have also done a little composing and arranging.

I have four sons and three cats.

I require a decently tuned acoustic piano or quality functional digital with touch sensitivity, sustain pedal, music stand, and 88 keys. I also require either an appropriate bench or notice so I can bring my own. If no piano is available at the venue, I can bring my own digital for $50 extra.
