Clinchfield is four friends playing the music we've loved all our lives. Bluegrass, Americana, rockabilly, gospel, traditional country, honky tonk - it's a joyful thing! It's a labor of love to learn and refine the tunes, to honor the tradition, hone the harmonies, and put our original stamp on them as well. Our measure of success as a band is the joy we share wherever we play. We take that seriously, and we have a lot of fun too!
Outstanding!!
Band was great. Attendees loved them. They were so nice.
Sam and the rest of the band are wonderful musicians who are easy to work with, very flexible, always responsive and, above all, talented! Our family is from KY and TN - we have all heard good Bluegrass Music… Clinchfield is GREAT! They absolutely MADE our daughter’s college grad party! I would not hesitate to recommend them and we will hire them again at the first opportunity! :). FYI: The band arrived with all of the sound equipment which they used outside except for the one 45 minute period when it sprinkled so they moved inside and played acoustic.
Clinchfield made our event magical. They were so helpful in figuring out what we could do with my budget, and they worked with me for a last minute time change. They are so talented -- I would recommend them for any event!

It's going to be a fun mix of traditional bluegrass, country, honky tonk, rockabilly, and gospel. Plenty of instrumental tunes complement the two and three part harmonies you'll also hear. The occasional John Prine, John Hartford, or Lucinda Williams tune will show up as well! We have no shortage of prison songs, outlaw tunes, train disaster tunes, and the occasional mine disaster song. Someone may even yodel occasionally (though he's seeing a specialist about that!).
The chemistry we share on stage in palpable - we're friends and we've spent a lot of time refining our craft. Creating and sharing the joy of growing and performing is important to us. We enjoy what we do and our greatest satisfaction is seeing others enjoy it as well!
Professionalism is important to us as well - we want you to get the event you desired. We are happy to work with clients to add particular songs they enjoy, and can be very flexible to meet client needs.
We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all music lovers. All are welcome regardless of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, creed, or disability. Happy listening!

Clinchfield performed at our wedding, both the ceremony and cocktail hour and words really can't describe how happy we were with the whole experience. These guys are exceptionally talented, very kind and a delight to work with. From day one Sam was awesome to deal with as the point person of the group. He was extremely helpful and accommodating in song choices and helping us plan out the music for our big day. We felt like we had known the group for years the way they were so invested in making the day as perfect as possible and really focusing on giving us exactly what we wanted. Their performance was easily our favorite part of the wedding as well as our guests. The ceremony was more beautiful that I could have dreamed with their help in figuring out which song to walk down the aisle to. We came into this not really having a clue but just knowing we wanted bluegrass at our wedding and their expertise really made it seamless. Not only did we have the sense of an extremely personal wedding which was facilitated by their music and kindness, we felt as though we had made friends throughout the months of planning and investment we had with these guys. This is a very special group, if you have the chance to see them or have them play at your event you are in for a major treat!

Clinchfield sounded absolutely amazing at the Tennessee Honey Festival. They truly were a perfect fit for the venue, playing uplifting bluegrass music that appealed to a broad spectrum of people. Everyone at the festival commented on how awesome they sounded! We are so happy Clinchfield provided the true Tennessee sound we all wanted our attendees to experience.

Clinchfield was a featured guest at our community neighborhood festival, and was a great partner in creating a great event. Their music was great, with lots of energy and talent, and was enjoyed by folks of all ages. As important to me as an event producer, they were professional and easy to work with, both in setting up the arrangements and the day of the show. This is a great band who are worthy of your time and attention.
