Coastal Groove

We provide a wide variety of music genres including, pop, country, rock, oldies, jazz (even a little Broadway if requested!) from the 60's to current top 40 hits. Tina's vocals cover everything from Adele to Janice Joplin. She also plays rhythm guitar while Ken plays sax, EWI and sings as well. Our performance is enhanced with backing tracks to give a "full band" sound (check out our videos of live performances).
As a wedding band we can provide every musical requirement including the ceremony, reception/dinner and dance. After our live performance we can switch to DJ mode for the "younger" crowd if appropriate. We can also add songs not currently in our repertoire for special dances during the reception.
In a small club or resort setting, we engage the crowd with conversation and joking to make the experience a little more personal.
We are "self-contained" in that we have a two high quality PA systems available including a small light show (when needed).

Coastal Groove, Inc. is a Florida based corporation that specializes in providing live music for a variety of functions from weddings to corporate events all across the southeastern United States.
The duo of Tina and Ken Franks form the core of performers for Coastal Groove, Inc. When a larger ensemble is called for, musicians are added to fulfill our client's needs.
Ken is a cum laude honor graduate from Valdosta State with a bachelor's degree in music education. After graduation he enlisted with the USAF and spent 9 years performing in the band career field as a woodwind instrumentalist and vocalist.
Tina graduated from Florida State University with a BA degree in music. She has been a performing musician, choir director and teacher... and she has even performed with the legendary Les Paul.

We have two, high quality PA systems available as well as a small light show system. We only require one 110 connection to run a single set-up. The second PA system is useful when provided ceremonial music for a wedding that is in a separate location from the reception/dance. We can also provide a wireless lavaliere mic for the wedding officiant and wireless handheld mics for speeches.
