Cold Weather Company is a unique alternative folk band that has something for everyone across their 60+ original songs and variety of covers. The band is able to adapt their set to any performance environment (weddings, parties, corporate events, art shows, breweries, wineries, you name it!) to ensure they complement your event.

We recently hired CWC to play at our outdoor wedding reception and they absolutely blew us away! Choosing a live band over a traditional DJ felt a bit risky, but they exceeded our expectations in every way.
CWC got everyone on the dance floor, creating a really fun atmosphere. We received so many compliments regarding CWC and their performance. Their ability to seamlessly blend genres—from alternative to pop—meant that there was something for everyone. We loved seeing our friends and family let loose and dance the night away.
We were also impressed with how responsive they were throughout the planning process. They listened to our preferences, were very organized, and crafted a setlist that perfectly matched our vision (including custom first dance songs).
If you’re considering a band for your event, I can't recommend CWC highly enough. They made our wedding unforgettable!

Booked CWC to perform at our Farmers Market and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. The nicest group ever, in sound and professionalism. Would book them again in a heartbeat.
Folk Band
Cold Weather Company was an incredible way to open our wedding celebration, playing during arrival, our entrance, and the celebration cocktail hour afterward. They were extremely communicative and very responsive throughout the entire process, and they’re three genuinely nice guys we got to know at their show in NYC during the process of working with them. They had a huge list of songs to choose from, and even learned a few others including our first dance. They were able to flex a little during the ceremony, as guests arrived earlier than expected. Everything was a hit and people keep talking about them. We can’t thank them enough and wish them future success as a band. Would recommend them to play for anyone!!

I’ve seen Cold Weather Company perform in multiple venues throughout the years and their concerts are always a great time! Personal favorites were at Brooklyn Bowl & Art House. These are such talented musicians- check them out!
Indie Band
Cold Weather Company really will exceed all of your live music expectations. My wife and I knew we wanted live music incorporated into our ceremony and cocktail hour. However, finding the vocals and musicality that we were into was rather difficult! Then there was CWC!
Not only did they meet our budget but they were excellent communicators with their availability as it came closer to booking them and signing official contracts. As huge music lovers, we wanted to give them the chance to showcase their music but they were incredibly accommodating squeezing in some great covers...even learning a very specific arrangement of Mt Joy - Silver Lining for us.
So completely professional and great to chat music with as an added bonus! Thanks, CWC!

Cold Weather Company was an amazing fit for our Labor day Weekend Festival! They have such a unique sound for everyone of all ages to enjoy. The guys were easy to work with and very engaging with a crowd of a few thousand people. I definitely recommend booking this band for any event!

CWC traveled to our rural wedding in upstate New York and were fantastic. They played beautifully, chose a great mix of covers and originals, coordinated with the venue themselves for hookups, played for longer than we had booked, learned a couple song requests from us and were able to play many audience requests as well. They made our wedding an unforgettable evening and I cannot recommend them enough.

Cold Weather Company was the perfect fit for my awards ceremony event! Not only did we love their unique sound, but they were great throughout the entire booking process. Accommodating to our needs by catering their music to fit the event style incorporating instrumental and vocals. In addition, they were great to work with being very communicative throughout and we really appreciated their interest in our events theme. We’ve known Cold Weather Company for as long as we can remember. From the first time we heard their music, we knew they were special. They make music that touches your soul and the greatest part about it is that it’s for everyone. Don’t let the name fool you, you can listen to their music all year round!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Cold Weather Company! Steve was my primary contact and he responded to every email promptly. He answered yes to all requests. The band arrived on time and agreed to stay for a late night acoustic set. They were consummate professionals. The music is why we chose the band, and it was amazing & beautiful to hear live. They were the perfect blend of background music that you really want to stop your conversation to listen to, however their cover of Let It Be was so moving, it silenced the room. We could not have chosen better for our fundraiser, all 150 guests were entertained! We are still hearing rave reviews.

What to Expect
When working with CWC, you can expect an organized, considerate approach to booking your event. Logistical questions (sound, travel, payments) are answered quickly and efficiently, and we encourage you to ask about the types of songs we perform, including if you have any favorite cover songs that you would like to be a part of our performance. We understand that the point of our performance is to make your event even better, so we want to make sure everything we do matches your vision.

Steadily building their artistic style and audience both along the East Coast and online for the past nine years, New Jersey-based alternative folk band Cold Weather Company carries a diverse sound, rich with harmonies and instrumental builds.
Incorporating elements of more classic artists like Crosby, Stills, & Nash and The Beatles along with modern bands like Mumford & Sons, The Avett Brothers, Dave Matthews, and Coldplay, the band combines the various writing approaches and influences of its three members, Brian Curry, Jeff Petescia, and Steve Shimchick, to create something extremely unique and entertaining.
Don't let the name fool you, with 60+ engaging originals and dozens of covers*, Cold Weather Company is a perfect fit for all seasons and a wide variety of occasions.

Additional Booking Notes
For most performances, we are a three piece consisting of three vocals, two acoustic guitars, and a piano. For a stripped down (without a sound system) performance, we would just require an electrical outlet for a piano/small guitar amps.
Our larger performances utilize our PA system (including vocal mics). We also work with a variety of talented string/horn/percussion players for more expansive performances. Please feel free to ask about that type of performance, as our initial quotes are generally just for a three piece.
Due to our flexible sound and technical requirements, we can play an intimate living room to a full stage without any loss of quality - it just depends on the type of show you're looking for!
