Columbia University’s Nonsequitur is a co-ed a cappella group specializing in a wide variety of music across the musical spectrum. Just over the last few years, we've recorded discography, performed and competed all over the country, and most recently appeared on HBO's "Mrs. Fletcher." We recently released our fourth studio album "But We Do!"
Over the years, Nonseq’s repertoire has widened to include all types of music. Our songs range from today’s pop to yesterday’s classics, from Ariana Grande and H.E.R. to the Beatles and Stevie Wonder, and we’re coming up with new arrangements all the time.

We're a fun group of Columbia and Barnard students who cover a wide range of voices. From our showcases, you can expect a lively and energetic performance of catchy tunes and phenomenal solo voices. True to our a cappella nature, we do not use instruments or external noise-makers, just sounds from our mouths. This means that our beatboxer provides the backbone percussion of our arrangements. Currently, our group size boasts 19 members, but you can opt to only hire a subset of the group as well. Ultimately, Nonseq would be honored to perform at any type of gig and would love to celebrate with you.
Nonsequitur is Columbia University's premier co-ed a cappella group. As our name suggests, we pride ourselves on our spontaneity, verve, and willingness to experiment with a wide variety of sounds. Just over the last few years, we've recorded discography, performed and competed all over the country, and most recently appeared on HBO's "Mrs. Fletcher." We're also proud to have one of the stars of Pitch Perfect, Ben Platt, on our roster!
Over the years, Nonseq’s repertoire has widened to include all types of music. Our songs range from today’s pop to yesterday’s classics, from Alicia Keys and Jason Mraz, to the Beatles and Stevie Wonder, and we’re coming up with new and original arrangements all the time.
Since 2000, we’ve entertained thousands in New York and beyond with our original arrangements and talented voices. We also boast quite a couple of solo artists, such as Maude Latour and Sarah Kinsley.
