Derrick arrived 30mins before he was scheduled to go on which I really appreciated. He did an excellent job of getting to know his audience before performing his show, which I believe contributed significantly to his success. I'd like to see this celebration grow larger each year, and I'd like him to be a key part of that growth. I hope to collaborate with him again in the future.
Derrick was awesome! He made the night amazing. Was very professional and went above and beyond to deliver a phenomenal show for his audience. I highly recommend Derrick for any event that you need a awesome comedian.
Derrick was very accommodating my event didn't get to start on time, no problem Mr. Cakley gladly pushed back his arrival time. Mr. Cakley was very funny and was available to take pictures with the guest after the event.

Being a military kid, moving around, seeing different kinds of people and lifestyles, Derrick came to a realization, early on, ‘We ain’t gon’ make it!!!!!’ To get his message out, just being the class clown was not a big enough stage. So he sought out the sweet science of stand up comedy.
Derrick has opened for some great comedians such as: Earthquake, lil Rel, Dez White, Damon Williams, Kevin "Damn Fool" Simpson, Flex Alexander, Juan Villareal, Terry Grossman, Billy Sorrells, Michael Shaw, Cocoa Brown.
