Cubanitas Musicales Band

Group created in Cuba in 2015, made up of musicians Mayelin Velázquez and Leidy
Laura Valdés, graduates from Cuban art schools. Both multi-instrumentalists, vocalists and
composers, with a wide musical trajectory.
After having shared the stage with several groups and soloists, they decide to come together to
form their own project focused on developing common musical interests such as
merge Cuban genres such as Son, Chachachá, Rumba, Danzon, etc. with Latin Jazz and others
international genres, giving a very interesting role to the Cuban Lute, an instrument
generally used in the accompaniment of peasant folklore.
In general, Cubanitas Musicales, in addition to defending its roots, continues the legacy of the great
Cuban musicians, betting on a proposal of excellence both inside and outside of Cuba
