Dan Haase

When hiring me you will get a musician and performer who takes his art and the presentation of himself seriously. I will always be prepared for the show, I will show up on time, and I will treat everyone at the venue with respect. Though I do approach music with a very professional attitude, I still have the ability to be loose, fun and a good hang. I have professional quality gear, and will always approach playing the music I am playing like it is my own (even if it is not my own). I only ask for the same professionalism in return.

In terms of physical look, think long haired rock and roll, with clothes that fit and stage presence to match the performance. I can be the center of attention, or I can be a player in the background. It all depends on the show. Some nights you might see me fronting a rock band, some nights you might see me playing my bass in the background. Versatility is the name of the game, and I can provide that for you.

Dan Haase has been active in and around the New Jersey music scene for over 15 years. A graduate from the Berklee College of Music with a BA in Performance Studies; Dan is a well rounded bassist, singer/songwriter, guitarist and vocalist. Though rock and roll, americana, R&B and country are Dan's favorite styles, he is also fluent in pop, jazz and metal/punk.

After graduating from Berklee, Dan immediately co-founded the band, Stolen Rhodes. He recorded three albums with the group and toured the U.S. until 2016, opening for national acts like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, Michael McDonald, Dropkick Murphy's and Blackberry Smoke.

While continuing to occasionally work with Stolen Rhodes, Dan also works regularly as a bassist with Asbury Park based singer/songwriter Rachel Ana Dobken. In addition to original music, Dan performs solo acoustic cover gigs, and is the bassist/vocalist for R&B/Pop/Rock cover band We’ll Be Fine.

In addition to performing, Dan is also an in demand music educator with experience teaching most string (including classical) and percussion instruments.

When not playing or writing music, Dan is an avid hiker who enjoys spending time with his family, camping, watching sports, exercising, cycling and golf.

* I have a PA system for sound in regards to solo acoustic.
* I have professional bass and guitar gear.
* I do not play battle of the bands, or competition type events of the sort.
* Any other type of gig is OK as long as there is a stage and an ability to plug in amplifiers.
* If inquiring for a touring gig transportation and related costs, along with sleeping accommodations must be provided by the employer. I am fully prepared and ready to tour, but only in a true professional setting.
