My husband wanted to hire a DJ for our summer party on our deck but I encouraged him to hire Darren as we have heard him perform in the Las Vegas area. He arrived on time, setup in 20 minutes had the perfect blend of music for our party. He played slow songs, fast, upbeat tunes and mixed in his originals as well. I remember hearing him on the local jazz station in Vegas and it was a dream to have him play for our guests. Everyone loved him, he was very professional and personal.

Clients from Bill Gates to Wedding event planners all remark on the versatility of Motamedy's performances. He plays for the event, and sets the ambience for the evening. He is known for playing large festivals, and also has been used in corporate events setting the tone for the evening by playing soothing and relaxing music! Need the volume turned up or down? That's never an issue. I want to make the evening memorable for everybody. Music for me is meant to add the spice to an event, not take over an event.....Unless it's a music festival!

Darren Motamedy is incredibly flexible, especially when he is asked to perform to set the ambience of an event. His best set up is when using an additional guitarist and percussionist. These extra musicians along with Motamedy's high quality PA system and backing tracks offers an affordable way to have a full band without needing to pay a full band. The trio is usually self contained and only requires one 110 outlet! The Darren Motamedy trio has played literally coast to coast, and been featured as the special guest on cruise lines as well. This smaller band setup can even perform with only Motamedy and a percussionist, or Darren Motamedy playing solo with tracks. It's super affordable, doesn't take up a lot of space, and requires only about 30-45 minutes to set up!
His larger ensembles usually means that the onus of the event is to listen to a performance, or to even listen and dance. For more information about his larger ensembles please contact Darren Motamedy directly for more information at (phone number hidden)
I have over 250 smooth jazz compositions as well as smooth jazz cover tunes of popular songs. Each of the songs was meticulously mixed by Kenny G guitarist and producer John Raymond. Please ask if you would like a detailed set list.
Grover Washington Junior, The Crusaders, Ronnie Laws, Earth Wind and Fire, and the wave of smooth jazz groups that have come into existence since the early 80's to present.
I generally bring my own sound system for smaller events with my smooth jazz trio. Larger events usually require the rental of a larger PA system.
