Demiurgic approaches every event with high energy and loving vibes. Demiurgic Music Group is New Orleans based but performs music for all occasions. Example; New Orleans traditional jazz, Blues, pop, Reggae, hip-hop, R&B, second line, Latin carribean and most defiantly funk.
My name is George Bobb Brown, formally known as LA' George. I am from New Orleans, Louisiana born and raised. When it comes to music, New Orleans traditional Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, R&B, Blues, rock and reggae is what fills my soul.
My Musical experience began at 3 years old. My mother by the name of Gloria Brown entered my two brothers (Tyrone Brown/Charles Brown) and I in the Money Wasters S&P Club to Parade. New Orleans Culture Second line has made an huge impact on me from birth until now due to many inspirations along this ongoing journey. My ambition, passion, and motivation developed from watching my brothers perform on Bourbon and Canal Street. Charles played for DA TRUTH BRASS BAND and Tyrone played for TBC BRASS BAND. Nearly everyday Charles and I would march around the 7th ward neighborhood playing second line beats with our own twist, just bass and snare drum. Darren Towns, bass drummer of TBC brass band was major in my upcoming. The style, groove, and power he brings to the music is what motivated me to take bass drum to another level. All my friends would call me a "One man band", because I played every instrument in the brass band except saxophone.
My first second line performance was on trumpet with the KinFolk Brass Band before Hurricane Katrina. Making a birthday in another state knowing your home town is getting demolished is not a good feeling, but my pops by the name of George Bobb, brought me my first 606 King Trombone in Houston, Texas. After the hurricane my parents enrolled me in Mcdonogh 15 Middle School. 5th Grade band with Mr. Kelvin Harrison was the beginning of my musical journey. What sets me apart from others is that I am DEMIURGIC - Creative, great personality, and powerful in my own way. I can whip a baby's tears by the sound of my Trombone. Mr. Kelvin Harrison knew my potential of becoming a great trombone player was at its highest peek. Over the summer Mr. Harrison would enroll me into Louis Armstrong Jazz Camps to study with different legendary musicians/directors. Up until high school graduation, me staying dedicated to my craft I had the opportunity of touring Japan for two weeks with the Chosen Ones brass band. I also had the chance to tour United Kingdom, France, Russia, and Morocco with Hot 8 brass band. By the time I graduated high school(May 19, 2016), Ive studied and worked with a wide range of popular, legendary directors/musicians such as Donald Harrison, Delfeayo Marsalis, Wilbert Rawlins, Lawrence Rawlins, Stafford Agee of Rebirth Brass Band, Derrick Tabb of Rebirth Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, TBC Brass Band, Hot 8 Brass Band, Da Truth Brass Band, Jesse Boyd, Jesse McBride, Kidd Jordan, Paulin Brothers Brass Band and Kinfolk brass band. I was a trombone player by day and a bass drummer by night.
Up next is Demiurgic Music Group. Ive created several original tunes for the group, you can catch a sneak peek of the music on Instagram: Demiurgic_7 or website: (link hidden). Recently i've been focusing on traveling nationally and international, not only for entertainment purposes but also to motivate and inspire the next generation to strive for greatness through tough times. I was an intern at KIPP Leadership Academy teaching 5th and 6th grade music theory. It was an amazing experience that drove me to pursue my goal of inspiring the youth through music and knowledge.
