My name is Dennis Doyle. I’m a Celtic harpist, singer, storyteller and I am writing in hopes of being able to perform at your next event. I have roots in Co Wicklow, Ireland. I currently perform as a harp/mandolin duo with my son Austin. We perform Irish and Scottish, jigs, reels, hornpipes and traditional airs. I sing in English and Irish and tell stories about the music. We do a program of traditional Celtic music. I have an interest in the fiddle music of Niel Gow and the harp music of Turlough O'Carolan and of all the old bards and fiddlers who circulated in the Celtic countries. Besides stage shows we can do music workshops, spoken word presentations, perform for tea ceremonies, Advent Spiral, renaissance fairs, clann luncheons, Catholic liturgy and Tartan Services.
We have played in most of the major Irish festivals and Highland games in North America including Milwaukee, Cleveland, Bethlehem Celtic Classic, So California Scottish Fest, Hamilton Bitterroot Montana Games, Ligonier Pennsylvania, and much more. I have toured Ireland and Scotland collecting music and have performed in Dublin, Galway, Oxford and London. I have published four book collections of arrangements of traditional music, available from Mel Bay or Amazon.
