Networking is the #1 reason many people attend your event. Yet they sit there looking at their phone and then complain it wasn't worth their time.
I get the audience talking to each other, learning how to exit conversations, and walking away with connections that will mutually beneficial.
I translate this learning moment into self-leadership, taking responsibility for your destiny, and laughing along the wayl

Authentic, informative, useful information I can implement right away, funny ... these are just a few words I often hear from audience members.
As a former meeting planner, I know the importance of hiring the right speaker for your event.
The biggest competitor for a speaker is now the phone ... within 2-3 minutes, if it's not an engaging speaker, out comes the phone. I know that so I immediately engage the audience in a warm and welcoming way to make them a part of the program.
My talks are customized to meet your needs and expectations.
Look forward to working together.
In order to overcome her fear of public speaking, Diane Darling took acting and stand-up comedy classes. That out-of-the-box and strategic mindset has been a contributing factor to her success. She was even the commencement speaker at MIT Charm School (yes there is such a thing).
A pioneer in social networking, McGraw-Hill commissioned Diane Darling to write the definitive book on networking in 2003 (before Facebook or LinkedIn) called The Networking Survival Guide. It went into a 2nd printing just 90 days after the book hit the shelves.
Collectively her books have been translated into 9 languages.
She has taught at Harvard Business School, European Cardiology Society, 20th Century Fox, Cisco Systems, Bank of America, University of Texas Law School, InfoSys, American Bar Association, Alumni of the London School of Economics to name a few clients.
She has appeared on NBC Nightly News, in The Wall Street Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, and The Boston Globe. She is a member of the Chief Executive’s Club of Boston.
She has lived in the Philippines, Thailand, Colorado, Indiana, Alabama and now in Boston, MA. Her travels include all seven continents and approximately 60 countries.
If there are more than 50, I'd appreciate a wireless microphone.
Sometimes I use slides and would need a projector. We can discuss all those details.
Wireless microphone if over 50
Projector if using PPT
