DJ Beth responded to a last minute request for a Karaoke DJ, last minute, meaning the same day as the event.
She was set up with great equipment waiting for the wedding after party. The guests were beyond thrilled with the experience provided by DJ Beth!

Beth made our event a total success. Can't wait to do it again!

Beth was nice enough. Had a decent selection of songs. But she seemed to be VERY new to this. Prior to booking, I asked what we would need to provide. She said access to electricity and a tent as it was an outdoor party. Nothing else. When she arrived, she had a small table for her equipment and she didn’t have stands for her tv screens. We needed to provide a table and chair for the screens to go on. We also had to hunt down 2 extension cords because she didn’t have them. During a sound check, I told her that in order to have the best sound quality while singing, you had to stand in a place where you couldn’t see the lyrics on screen. She wasn’t able to move the screen so the sound for the singers was less than stellar unless they could sing without looking at the screen at all. The whole set up seemed a little funky dink. The screen people were using for lyrics was set up on one of our folding chairs. She did agree to stay for an extra hour, but kept changing the price. I was her contact person and the person who hired her but she kept talking to other guests about what she would charge in order to stay. It made for a chaotic time. She let people skip the line and putting their song next even when other people were waiting to sing. She called people up to sing before checking if she even had the song they wanted which she sometimes didn’t. So people were standing, waiting, with mic in hand, and then told they couldn’t sing because she didn’t have the song. Nothing was cued up before hand. At this event last year I rented a karaoke system for half the price and ran it myself. I hired a pro for this year because it was only an additional $250 and I wanted it to be better quality. It wasn’t better quality, but it did keep me from having to run the system all day so I guess it was worth it. I think DJ Beth just needs more experience.
