Rolo’s emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his musician father’s eclectic combination of jazz, island, funk, rock, and blues…Rolo ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influences. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and fuses together various genres of music that he loves best on top of pronounced foot-shuffling beats. Rolo has played in Barbados, NYC, Boston, and Seattle, and he loves playing house and garden parties, and special events.

DJ Rolo is a true crowd mover. From our first meeting to the final song he captured the energy I was shooting for and set the vibe for the day.
Back to school summer jam was the event and DJ Rolo kept the music going all afternoon into the late evening. What was most impressive is how he took all of the music inputs I gave him and brought a music catalog that had me and our guests, young and old, jamming.
From hip-hop to techno to soul to afro-beat it all flowed seamlessly.
DJ Rolo really brought the goods at our summer night backyard party. His energy and enthusiasm were consistent throughout the evening. Obviously loves gigging. Thoughtful and varied mix of music that kept our broad range of guests smiling and engaged. His setup was compact and sounded amazing. Great personality too!

DJ Rolo delivered an immaculate performance at our outdoor neighborhood event. From the appropriate gear for the size of the event to the song selection that kept an age group that spanned 18 to 72 engaged throughout the evening, he delivered the goods with smooth mixes and transitions. Having grown up on his musician father’s eclectic combination of jazz, island, funk, rock, blues, 70s, and 80s music…all which became infused with his own love for both fusions, Rolo ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influences. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and fuses together various genres of music that he loves best on top of pronounced foot-shuffling beats.
DJ Rolo has played in the Caribbean, NYC, Boston, Milwaukee, and Seattle, and though he loves playing patios and special events (corporate, school, weddings), his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a jazz guitarist, Rolo played in a jazz band in NYC, and continues to find ways to express himself musically. He is currently learning the trumpet and is actively teaching his kids the art of DJ’ing.
