That’s how Steve Nice describes himself as a Disc Jockey. Never afraid to go too ham, his musical selections are his therapy for good times. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of rock music (Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Carlos Santana, The Grateful Dead), Classic Hip Hop (Tone Loc, Big Daddy Kane, Tribe Called Quest), 90’s Gangsta rap (Ice Cube, Too $hort, E-40, Spice 1)… all which became infused with his own love for both hip-hop and rock music. Steve Nice ended up with a totally mixed range of musical influence. In 2022 this translates into curated DJ sets where he picks apart and infuses together the pieces of this influence that he loves best: beautiful guitar solos, drums, brooding 808 basslines, and catchy vocal hooks… all on top of inescapable rump-shaking feel good music.
A very active member of his local community, Steve Nice is no stranger to the ups-and-downs in the City of Angles. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, patios and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As an active volunteer in the community he spends free time with Angel City Pit Bulls or at the LA Mission. He also likes to blog about graffiti art in Los Angeles.
