Down Pour came together in late 2012, when former Slander vocalist Chris Prophet hooked up with drummer Ryan Shoopman. Chris invited former Slander guitarist Jon Fox to come jam. They started writing day one.
After a few months of writing they knew they were onto something special. They brought in bassist Kevin Pope. The chemistry was undeniable.
They considered resurrecting the name Slander but immediately they knew the material that was coming together was unlike Slander....
Down Pour was born!!
We are a mix of Sabbath...Alice In Chains...KISS...Godsmack....Metallica
We love to rock the stage...
Our drummer prefers to use his own kit because it is larger than a basic kit and some of our songs can only be played with a more advanced kit.
