My name is Daniel Roman (D.R. Drumming is not doctor drumming, sorry to disappoint) and I have been drumming for almost 20 years. I started in church when I was 16 and joined high school band in the Christian school I attended and continued to learn gospel, as well as secular music outside of school.
I have toured with a top 40 band for 2.5 years spanning more than 200 shows as the drummer, background/Lead vocals, programmer, and musical director. I have a studio at home to record reference tracks, my own equipment, transportation and a burning passion for performing to the best of my abilities.
I look forward to being an asset to your production!

I take pride in always perusing to be the absolute best version of myself at all times. For every gig I make sure I am prepared with plenty of practice time at home. Rehearsals are not for practice and I think all members should take it equally as serious. Music is fun and we all do it because we love it, but I try not to lose purpose of the gig and to serve the music.
I take tremendous pride in my own sound that I have carefully crafted over the last 15+ years of playing this instrument. I have my own equipment that I can setup in less than 15 minutes and be show-ready. I have my own transportation so punctuality is also something very important to me. I love breaking the "late-drummer" stereo-type (Although traffic on Long Island can be disrespectful).
I have capabilities of running samples either from drums themselves, drum-pads, or through a Roland SPD-SX. This expands my range and allows me to more accurately portray sounds if I am with a specific artist or if the client wants a specific sound for their live performance. Dynamics are very important to me because it shows consciousness of the moment and those receiving it around us. It also helps grow the performance and take the audience on a journey with those of us on stage.
My name is Daniel Roman and I am a free lance drummer based out of Nassau County, New York. I started playing at age 16 for for his high school gospel band, while growing roots in rock/ metal back home. The two polar opposites taught me a sense of versatility as well as dynamics and feel. After playing every Sunday for roughly 2 years, Danny studied under professional drummer and educator Ryan Broderick, and at the Long Island Drum School.
After playing with original act "Carrie and The Cats" which spanned playing most major music festivals on Long Island, I joined top 40 touring cover band "Crash The Party". From (phone number hidden)3 My tenure with the band saw 200+ gigs and thousands of miles of travel. This is where I learned how to hone in on at-home recording and mixing in order to collaborate with other band members to create arrangements for our live shows. I also helped in planning set-lists and programming, as musical director of the group.
I currently play with original act "Ape Theory" and top 40 cover band "808".
