When I started searching for a pianist for my daughter's intimate wedding, I was finding the usual type of restaurant/lounge pianist that seemed to be just plowing through their accustomed songs, just not setting the tone that I was looking for. The venue was a Victorian style mansion and I felt I needed to find someone that was classically trained to really compliment and accentuate the atmosphere in this grand old house. Edye played some of her originals for us as well as offering to learn some songs that I requested that were not on her setlist. I feel that Edye went out of her way to customize the pieces she played to accommodate all of our requests. I feel fortunate to have been able to make contact with Edye. She was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her!

Wedding planning is never easy. I was less concerned about the venue and food etc (although my wife was happily to be VERY concerned about all of those things). I wanted the music to be perfect. I didn't want a DJ and or a traditional full wedding band that has always seemed a little cheesy to me. Edye was perfect. She worked with us on song choices and her compositions were beautiful. In high school I was a big fan of the Get Up Kids- an emo/punk rock band, and not exactly the best song choices for a wedding. But it was important to me to include music my wife and I both cared about throughout our lives, not just random song choices. Edye's renditions blew me away. They were scaled back, and artistic, and they will forever be my favorite versions of the songs. Don't get me wrong- our wedding day was great, and generally I was happy with how everything turned out- but it's the music that makes the memory of our wedding special to me. If you're like me, and music is an important part of an experience for you, then I highly recommend Edye. You're going to get an artist, not just a band or individual who will mindlessly play music. And anecdotally speaking, that makes all the difference.
