Eli Mateo

Eli Mateo is a professional percussionist. His virtuosity and command of many Afro-Caribbean styles as well as his ability to function in a variety of different styles, such as jazz, pop, or hip-hop, makes him my very first choice for a percussionist in the Central Massachusetts area. He is very easy to work with, has an affable and warm personality, and besides that…he’s very funny! We recently played a big concert at Clark University and his performance collaborated to the success of the band. He played with passion, guts, and good taste and made the audience dance in their seats. His improvisations were explosive yet full of musicality. If you need a percussionist hire Eli. I have known Lito all my life and I have seen him evolve as a musician, I have worked with him in genres such as Bachata, Rock and Latin Jazz not only on the road but also in recording session. Very professional and in total control of dynamis.
