In addition to singing if you need an ensemble for your event I can assist you in getting on ready, for instance a string ensemble for your special service, additional piano or guitar music.
I come with a pianist ready to sing for your event, if there is no piano available I have high quality backing tracks and a portable sound system complete with music and microphone. The sound quality is exceptional.
I come fully prepared to sing for your event. I will consult with you in regards to appropriate dress. I normally come with music memorized so I can connect with my audience. However depending on the songs you choose, if they are not currently in my song set list and if it's a last minute gig I may ask if I can music with me. I will always get your approval first before we book.
I may not always be able to accept last minute changes in music requests however I am open to changes if I can accommodate.
I generally arrive one hour early for out of town shows and thirty minutes early for in town performances.
Elizabeth Knudson is a Virginia-based opera singer renowned for deeply captivating audiences with the natural brilliance of her voice while poignantly embodying the spirit of each character she portrays. Elizabeth graduated Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a BFA in Music. Elizabeth has extensive operatic training from The Moores Opera Center and recently gained favorable exposure as a soloist for Classical Revolution RVA. Elizabeth has performed on numerous opera stages and private venues across the country, with her most notable opera roles as Musetta in La Boheme and Antonia in Les Contes d’'Hoffman. Elizabeth is passionate about performing new opera works and feels privileged to have been featured and recorded the role of Barbara in Dominick Argento's Casanova's Homecoming with the Newport Classics Label. In addition to performing, Elizabeth teaches mindfulness techniques and has effectively helped over 12,000 students across 100 countries decrease stress and cultivate positive, fulfilled lives through singing, vocal toning and meditation.
We will need to discuss if there is a piano at the venue. If not I can provide an electric piano with amplification that sounds acoustic. I will need to verify what type of outlet are accessible if I bring my own piano and amplification.
I have a portable sound system however I may prefer to use the venues depending on the set up.
Lights can be provided but I prefer to use what is already available the venue.
