Excellent string ensemble skilled in all musical styles and environments
Ensemble Mercury played at our daughter's wedding. They did a great job of playing during the ceremony and then during part of the reception. They were very easy to work with and had a repertoire of songs that spanned many genres and tastes. Well done!
Ensemble mercury was so awesome! The music at our wedding was beautiful and they are so talented! Definitely recommend booking them
Response from Ensemble Mercury:
Thank you so much, Maddy! It was a joy to play for you! -McKenna & Sydney
McKenna and team were extremely communicative throughout the whole process- and extremely easy to work with and coordinate day of! Live music on the strings is a MUST for a beautiful ceremony of any type- from an outdoor and casual (like ours was) to an elegant, done up, ballroom affair, and everything in between. I wholeheartedly recommend Mercury Ensemble to anyone planning a wedding or any other event!
Response from Ensemble Mercury:
Thank you for your kind words, Tristan! It was a joy to play for you and your guests! -McKenna
I worked directly with Sydney and McKenna for our wedding on 9/30/23 and they were both willing to execute any task I asked. They looked into songs that they didn’t have in their repertoire that we asked for, and then went above and beyond to take the song I wanted to walk down to and cut it apart so it was exactly how I wanted it. They also filled in all the blanks with their expertise - guest seating songs before ceremony, jazzy cocktail hour vibe, etc. All around fabulous job!
Response from Ensemble Mercury:
Thank you, Kadie! We loved playing for your beautiful wedding. Thanks for having us! -Sydney/McKenna :)
I would highly recommend Ensemble Mercury for any event. They were professional and accommodating when our schedule changed but most of all the music was so beautiful. Sydney was so helpful with music selection and responsive to our needs
Ensemble Mercury played for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. My husband and I were so impressed with their professionalism and organization in planning the event. They provided helpful suggestions for musical selections to fit our style, and they helped us work out logistics we had not considered for the ceremony. Our guests shared with us how much they enjoyed the contemporary selections that Ensemble Mercury played during our cocktail hour. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for string musicians!
I have tried to leave a comment several times, and I had a cellist and violinist. I didn’t see any place to comment because I only had the duo. However, I am trying again to tell you that they were excellent and made the whole wedding magnificent especially for me the mother of the groom. Thank you again sincerely Marilyn Petrilli.
Everything went smoothly from our requests to the performance. We had EM play our wedding ceremony outdoors and couldn't have been happier. Everything was professional. Thank you!
Ensemble Mercury is very professional. The ceremony was beautiful and they played really well. Unfortunately, I was not able to be at the cocktail hour, but I heard many compliments from the guests who were there as well. I highly recommend using them!
Everything went perfect for my daughters wedding ceremony! You are all so professional and so nice to work with!! I can’t express how beautiful you all sounded! I couldn’t have asked for more! I would give you all a 10 star rating if I could!!
The Ensemble Mercury performed as a string quartet at our graduation ceremony and they were wonderful. The mix of classical and contemporary music was a big hit with our audience. I would highly recommend!
They were a beautiful addition to my wedding ceremony. The group is talented, professional, and easy to work with. Thank you for making my day extra special!
The music was beautiful and the musicians were very flexible and helpful. I booked a trio for a proposal and McKenna was easy to work with and flexible with changing dates and location. Highly recommend.

PRICING STRUCTURE:
Although we typically perform as a string quartet, we frequently perform as soloists, duos, or trios. You can expect your quote to reflect the number of musicians hired, the amount of time we will be playing, and the distance away from our home base (Cleveland, OH). Your quote will include all costs including rehearsal time if needed, administrative fees and expenses, and a few custom selections if you would like to include any songs that may not be on our website. A smaller ensemble is a great option for budget-conscious clients.
Our pricing guidelines are as follows:
Soloist (violin, viola, or cello): $350 and up
Duo (violin/viola or violin/cello): $450 and up
Trio (two violins/cello or violin/viola/cello): $600 and up
Quartet (two violins, viola, and cello): $750 and up
Ensemble Mercury rarely plays with amplification. Even in crowded spaces where dialogue is happening, we usually project very well through the room. If you are worried about the group projecting throughout your space, we recommend booking a larger ensemble such as a string quartet instead of something smaller like a solo or duo. The only materials we require in the event space is four armless chairs, space of about 8'x8', and adequate lighting to see our music.
Due to the nature of stringed instruments, we are unable to play in any form of precipitation or weather colder than 60 F or warmer than 85 F. Feel free to get in touch if you have an outdoor event and would like to discuss details or a rain plan.
