Tanisha began taking dance classes at Palomar College in 2005 in San Marcos, Ca. She first began studying Afro-Cuban and Afro- Brazilian dance forms until she fell in love with Raqs Sharqi or “belly dance” in 2010. Tanisha has since studied various style of belly dance including oriental Egyptian and Lebanese, folkloric dances such as Saidi (Egypt), Khaleegy (Saudi Arabia), kawiliya or Modern Iraqi dance, and fusion inspired. In 2017, Tanisha began social dancing Casino (Cuban Salas) and Casino Rueda. Tanisha continually continue her dance education through classes and workshops from local and international artists.
