Hi, I'm Eric. I love music. I’ve spent thousands of hours listening to it, pondering it, and playing it. My musical project displays wide-roaming influences. Dreamy electric folk-scapes give way to driving rock anthems, a straightforward Americana ballad emerges after a hypnotic bossa nova. I connect these varying songs with my voice, which modulates from genre to genre but remains warm, vulnerable and engaging throughout. With stints everywhere from the Detroit Jazz Fest to the DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam, I aim to draw the audience into a feeling of intimacy and connection. Covers upon request. Available as a solo, duo, or trio. Also, available as a Bossa Nova band. Please reach out!

If you're looking for music that will move you, challenge you and inspire you, then look no further than Eric O'Daly. His songs are captivating and vulnerable, but it's not just the lyrics that make his music so powerful - it's also the way he delivers them. O’Daly is a master of songwriting, and he knows how to craft a beautiful ballad that will stay with you long after the song is over. But what really makes him stand out as a musician, vocalist and performer is his ability to connect with any audience. Whether he's singing about heartbreak or hope, love or loss, O’Daly’s music has a way of reaching inside your soul and resonating deeply.
O’Daly grew up in a home where art and music were appreciated, and the radio was always on. Early in life, he was constantly in and around theaters, watching people rehearse and perform, so it was no surprise when at a young age he started to sing and play music. At 18, he left his hometown to spend some years traveling - at first around the United States, and then to South America - picking up gigs in clubs, trains, theaters, and street festivals playing everything from jazz, blues, rock, and folk music to samba, bossa nova, and reggae. In these many scenarios, he honed his musical craft, as well as his keen connection to the audience.
The variety of his original songs display these wide-roaming influences. Dreamy electric folk-scapes give way to driving rock anthems, a straightforward Americana ballad emerges after a hypnotic bossa nova. Displaying a command of several languages, O’Daly manages to connect all of these songs through his unique voice, which modulates from genre to genre but remains warm, vulnerable and engaging throughout.
With stints everywhere from the Detroit Jazz Fest to Buenos Aires’ Teatro Colón to the DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam, O’Daly’s comfort on any stage draws the audience into a feeling of intimacy and connection. Equally at home with just a guitar in an intimate room as fronting a full band on a giant festival stage, the strength of his original songs come through in any format.
