I’ve worked with Erik-Peter since May 2021 and was recommended to him highly by my colleague organist and other professional cantor already working for me.

From the beginning I was impressed by his beautiful tone and emotional delivery. After just singing one cantor mass for me, I asked him if he could stay permanently and thankfully he agreed!

I’ve sung countless masses, funerals, weddings, and special venues with him since then at our 2 churches in Dobbs Ferry, NY and he never fails to impress. Not only does he have a voice that’s both rich and clear, but he has an extensive musical background as a 4th generation musician, having sung professionally since age 9, and also a songwriter and composer trained at Columbia University and Berklee College of Music under the highest standards.

Beyond the typical professional singer, this makes him very knowledgeable and versatile in many, if not most, musical styles, not just classical, so he can easily switch between delivering an outstanding performance in an a cappella Renaissance quartet, a Bach or Handel aria, Mozart’s “Ave Verum Corpus”, the Romantic “Ave Maria” by Schubert, Country styles like “The Old Rugged Gross” or “Amazing Grace”, Spiritual Styles like “Were You There When they Crucified my Lord?”, Traditional Folk Tunes like “Danny Boy”, French styles like “En Priere” or “O Holy Night” up to Contemporary Pop styles like “I Get to Love You” and “Two Becoming One”, all delivered with perfect idiomatic diction appropriately paired to the selection!

Erik-Peter (or EP as most of us call him) is also a crack sight-reader! You can present him with sheet music at the time of the event and even with little or no run-through, he can perform it as if he’s been singing it for years! Very few singers anywhere can do this as well as EP! In fact during an emergency at one of our concerts, I handed him two mallets and asked him to play the timpani part for a Purcell overture with brass! He had never played them before but because of his exceptional musical skills, he played them admirably and no one was the wiser!

In summary, you’d be very lucky to get to work with Erik-Peter, no matter what kind of singing venue or service you request of him! (Did I also mention he’s a studio session singer?) As long as you provide him with the sheet music you’d like sung, within the comfort zone of his quite considerable vocal range, and with at least an above average accompanist, I don’t think there’s any kind of song he couldn’t deliver with heartfelt emotion and brilliance!
