Evan Fiehrer, Guitarist

Evan Fiehrer was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 1, 1990. He began his study of music at age 8 on the piano, and moved to guitar at age 12. His first years as a student of the guitar found him trying various styles before settling into jazz guitar. Looking to further his knowledge, Evan began to look into classical guitar, and immediately became immersed in the subtle beauty of the instrument. He began his study with Mark Porcaro, and as a member of a high school guitar ensemble in his home town of Centerville, Ohio. In 2009, Evan began his undergraduate studies in classical guitar with Clare Callahan at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. While there, Evan participated in Master Classes and lessons with players such as Oscar Ghiglia, David Russell, Denis Azabagic, and Michael Newman. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with his degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati in 2013. Today he is an active chamber, ensemble, and solo musician.
