Edelina was everything we were hoping for in a wedding consultant and MORE, and choosing her services was by far the best decision we made for our wedding day! Her services are worth every single penny! Edelina is incredibly personable, extremely detail-oriented, and goes above and beyond. Our monthly meetings with Edelina eased our anxiety leading up to the big day by giving us clear action steps, helping us to prioritize tasks, and supporting us to make decisions that were right for us; we always looked forward to meeting with her! Edelina’s wealth of knowledge and experience in the wedding industry helped us easily navigate the wedding planning process, and although she gave us many suggestions, she always reminded us that we ultimately had the final say for everything. Edelina was always looking out for us, from finding the best deals to triple checking everything in our contracts. We planned our wedding from across the country, and Edelina could not have been more accommodating to our schedule; when we were in town, she even made time to meet us for coffee on multiple occasions. Edelina came through for us over and over, from picking up our wedding cake that could not be delivered to adjusting her schedule last minute to attend our rehearsal when we found out we would not have a church coordinator a week before our wedding. At our reception, she always made sure we were enjoying ourselves and taken care of throughout the night. Edelina was such a special part of our entire wedding process, and we already miss working with her. We cannot thank Edelina enough for making the wedding of our dreams a reality!

Our wedding day was the most magical, beautiful, perfect day and we couldn’t have done it without Edelina. Her attention to detail and her passion to truly wanting this day to be perfect showed. Edelina was always available for a phone call and very responsive to emails. Any questions I had were answered immediately and provided some suggestions without being pushy. If anything, the suggestions were incredibly helpful for a first time bride. We love Edelina so much and this day couldn’t have been what is was without her.
Edelina was the MVP of our wedding planning process! She helped us find vendors that fit into our budget and vision and saved us thousands of dollars. Edelina kept us on track throughout and made sure we were doing things on time. When prices were going up, sales were happening, or deadlines were approaching, she always made sure we knew. She set up new accounts to get vendor discounts when we were interested in a new place she hadn't used before. She was responsive, personable, and her help was extremely valuable!
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Edelina as our wedding coordinator. When we started the wedding planning process, we didn’t even have a vision for what we wanted. After several pinterest sessions, we decided we needed a coordinator ASAP because we had absolutely no idea how to pull off all the tiny details we imagined for our big day. Edelina was amazing! She was there for us every step of the way! From vendor suggestions, monthly tracking meetings, and what seemed like daily questions we had for her, she was always available to answer them quickly and confidently. She assisted us in finding our caterer, 2 bakers (the first one became pregnant and was unable to commit to our wedding, and Edelina helped us find an awesome backup), florist, DJ, and even my dress! She was able to work with the other vendors we found ourselves and coordinated with them seamlessly. The venue we picked was a bit nit-picky in their requirements, which Edelina handled in stride. She was able to answer all their questions and handle all their requirements with no issues, and ahead of their required schedule. Thanks to her coordination and organization, the week before our wedding my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy time with our family and friends that came into town for us instead of being bogged down with last minute details. Edelina also severed as our day of coordinator. Every detail that we planned was executed perfectly and our wedding day went flawlessly! I cannot recommend Edelina enough. Although we had a day-of coordinator assigned to us from our venue, I am SO thankful that we had Edelina there too! I know without a doubt that our wedding would not have been as seamless as it was, if she hadn't been there helping to orchestrate all the details--small and large.
Edelina even made our last minute (seriously last minute...like 10 hours before the wedding last minute!) request for dance-floor lighting happen, and she got us an amazing deal to boot! You'd expect the lighting just to be so-so for being so last minute, but it was fantastic and just what we had hoped.
Last, but definitely not least, ALL of the vendors Edelina recommended were amazing. Our florist (Le Chateau de Crystale) made my vision of a Fall wedding come to life, and our videographers (Compass Studios) were so friendly and fun, all the while remaining unobtrusive. She also helped us secure two amazing bands for wedding (The High and Wides) and Nightsong...we are STILL getting compliments on both!

Edelina made our wedding day flawless. There were so many blanks she filled in, fires she took out, and logistical problems that she solved with her cool, calm, and collected style. She is organized and has the highest attention to detail to fulfill our vision for both the ceremony and reception. There are so many little things that need to be taken care of to ensure the wedding day goes smoothly and flows well. I’m not high strung at all but I’m telling you, the day would have been sloppy, hectic and stressful without Edelina and her team. She was beyond wonderful and Tony and I know we have her to thank for the best day of our lives.
Edelina is a professional. From our first meeting, she let us know how things go down when you are planning your wedding - a monumental task! She systematically tracked our progress as we found vendors, signed contracts, and watched our budget. She always measured progress against our original goals and referred to them repeatedly. Perhaps one of the best aspects of her services was managing the details of all the contracts, a tedious task for most busy couples. She found vendors that offered excellent services of their own at very affordable prices, which she did through her top-rated network of caterers, djs, photographers, etc. As the big day approached, she kept on us to make sure we were making the necessary steps. The day of, she masterfully handled all vendors and the schedule so we could simply enjoy our event. I do not not lightly offer such praise, but I would highly recommend Edelina.

Thank goodness for Edelina. She saw to every need before and during the Wedding and did an amazing job of not only coordinating the wedding party and guests, but also all the vendors. Her job was very challenging because the chosen venue the Torpedo Factory was open to the public up until around 1 hour before the wedding. She flipped the venue into a beautiful wedding full of fun and good times.
My wedding day could not have been what I dreamed of if it weren't for Edelina. Hands down, best decision ever. Her personality is caring and supportive, her services are limitless and she excels at everything that she does. Several months have passed since Katie and Paul’s wedding and I don’t think I thanked you enough for all that you did to make it a perfect day for the happy couple. We recognize that ours was not a typical wedding with Katie and Paul living in Scotland and the wedding taking place at a family farm in Southern Maryland. Until we found you, planning the wedding seemed completely overwhelming so we count our blessings that you were able to take us on as a client. Your assistance in planning, your preparation and your attention to detail were truly amazing. You managed to understand and capture my daughter and son in law’s vision for the wedding through FaceTime, phone calls and e-mail. Everything about the day was absolutely perfect and we will cherish the memories forever. Please extend our appreciation to Stephanie as well for all that she did on the day of the event. I recently got married in DC and while I wanted to control most things, I knew I needed a coordinator to help me manage all the details. Edelina pays extreme attention to detail, and scheduled regular calls to see where I was at, keeping a checklist to remind me when something needed to get done. She also responds to emails almost immediately--it's seriously impressive and puts a stressed brides mind at ease! Additionally she was able to recommend vendors, and any of those vendors I reached out to would all say the same thing--you picked an amazing wedding coordinator! A few weeks before my wedding I was distraught about not being able to find a reasonably priced calligrapher and Edelina immediately gave me recommendations within my budget. I cannot express how happy I am with her services.

Initially, we were not sure if we wanted a planner at all, but in the end we decided to retain the services of a "day of planner" after several friends recommended it. We scoured the wedding sites and all paths led to Edelina. Deciding to hire Edelina was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. In addition to day of services, Edelina provided a incredible, thoughtful advice on everything from seat arrangements to decorations. She is incredibly organized and knowledgable. She was also very flexible with meeting us and was always available when we reached out. On the day of our wedding, everything went off without a hitch. Edelina worked well with our caterers, families and guests. If there were any issues, we were not aware of them. Neither of us can imagine what it would have been like to plan this wedding without Edelina's help. We feel lucky to have had her assistance on what could have been - but was not - an incredibly stressful process.

I can't begin to express how Edelina's experience, confidence, leadership and friendship led to an extraordinary wedding and reception that my guests will not soon forget. From my initial contact with Edelina I felt at ease because she certainly had that experience, but upon getting to know her I learned that she has the best personality, commitment to the process and a fierce work ethic. Edelina was totally responsive from beginning to end..I would often send very early morning emails and to my surprise I would receive early morning responses since she too was working! Working with Edelina was a great experience. She is exactly what you want in a wedding planner. She's organized! Throughout the entire process, she knew exactly what needed to get done and gave us clear, realistic advice about how to do it. She's experienced! She was able to anticipate any problems we might have both beforehand and during the ceremony. She's accommodating! We were doing a lot of the wedding planning from a distance, but she was able to work around our schedule. She met us when we were in town, and when we weren't, she responded to emails quickly and even jumped on Skype to chat with us. She listens! From start to finish, she makes it clear that this is your wedding. She doesn't run the show. You do. Our wedding celebration went off without a hitch! I contacted Edelina to help me plan my daughter's wedding ceremony on short notice. Edelina was prompt to return my correspondence, answer all my questions and met with us in person to discuss our vision. Since we did not have a rehearsal prior to the wedding, Edelina organized a quick run through when we got to the Chapel, first with the bridal party, then with the groom and groomsman. We had a very tight timeline and Edelina's organization and direction kept us on task from beginning to end. The wedding was incredible, better than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Edelina and her services as a wedding planner.

We hired Edelina to be the DOC for our 100-person, same-sex, church-hall, largely DIY wedding reception in September. We also hired several of her staff to set up the hall, receive food from the caterer and serve it buffet-style, arrange presentation of several types of desserts, and take care of clean-up.
In the several months throughout the wedding planning, Edelina was extremely accessible for questions and recommended several other vendors to us, including our fantastic bartender.
On the day itself, Edelina did a phenomenal job! She and her staff went above and beyond, including set-up and clean-up projects that took longer than anticipated, and rolled with everything. She coordinated the timing and direction of several live musical performances, including a band, and handled both professional catering and family-provided food with energy and care. She and her staff ran what could have been a chaotic kitchen with military precision. The wedding went off without a hitch and was very 'us' - thank you, Edelina!

When I met Edelina at a good friends wedding a year prior to our engagement I was blown away on how amazing and professional she was. When Stephen and I became engaged, we also quickly realized we had little knowledge of all the itty bitty details that goes into wedding planning. It was a no brainer to hire her and her expertise!
Edelina was always either a text or email away for anything!!, no matter how early or late in the day it was. We met several times to see where we were with our planning. She had a spreadsheet to keep us all on track and organized leading up to our big day! She worked extremely hard to make sure that we were understanding all our of contracts (helped review before we signed), found the best "deals" for everything down to the name place cards, and was just a great person to bounce ideas off of.
Edelina was also my day of coordinator and I can not thank her enough for making our day PERFECT and without a glitch. It rained as they were setting up the ceremony so she came to me and asked if we should move it inside and see if the rain passed. Everything was moved in, then the sun came out and she came back to me and asked what to do. I said "Is it possible to move back outside?" She replied, "Of course!" Edelina worked with the venue hand in hand throughout the evening all the way to the final clean up after our fairytale wedding!
I would recommend Edelina to any bride who wants professional and personable service!
Edelina was great as our "day of" coordinator. I use quotes because she was much more than that. When we first met with her she had reviewed all of our vendor contracts and pointed out the details in each that she would need to confirm met the conditions of all the other contracts. She also had a sample schedule from a recent wedding she had coordinated at our venue, and a checklist for us. She later created a spreadsheet for us to keep track of all of our vendor payments and their due dates, worked with us to generate a detailed schedule for the wedding weekend as well as the wedding day (our wedding party was so thankful!), and provided a standard shot list for us to use as a jumping off point to provide to our photographer. She was in regular email contact with us throughout the months leading up to the wedding, following up on anything she still needed from us and giving us any pertinent updates from our vendors. All of this was well before the day of and extremely helpful. On the day of, Edelina called us to warn of traffic conditions, and coordinated our arrivals at the venue, as well as the arrivals of all our vendors. She had an amazing bride kit (I had made one for myself as well but hers was way better. We definitely tapped into the bug spray and razor!) and just generally kept things moving so we didn't have to think about anything. She handled all final payments, set up of our thank you gifts, worked with the photographers to coordinate group shots, etc. All this and she was the most reasonably priced coordinator we contacted! Edelina was wonderful! We booked her as our "Day of Coordinator" but the amount of love and attention she gave us throughout our process really made us feel like we had her helping us much longer than just the day. She coordinates and plans with her heart and really wants to make sure your day goes as you want it to. She went above and beyond for us. One example of this is when I completely forgot to buy the sparklers for our sparkler exit, remembering only 2 days before and not having time to go and get any myself, in a sheer panic I just cancelled the sparkler exit all together.... until Edelina went out of her way, and took it into her hands to make sure we got the sparklers. She found them online in a day, picked them up for us and brought all of the materials with her so we could have the sparkler exit we wanted. We felt so loved on this day, and Edelina was one of those people we felt it from! Thank you for your hard work and kindness, Edelina!
Edelina provided two assistants to work my kitchen while I mingled and had fun. The ladies were well versed in keeping the food flowing and my kitchen tidy. I will use Edelina again for our large parties. Thank you!

I would highly recommend Event Details by Edelina for anyone who is looking for some extra help with their wedding (or any event!). My budget was tight and I couldn't afford to have help planning the entire wedding, but for the day of I needed some assistance making sure everything was executed according to my plan. Edelina was always available to give feedback and advice leading up to the advice and even went as far as picking up and dropping off speakers for me that I needed to rent! She found me nearly all of my vendors (DJ, etc) for great prices and was seriously a fountain of knowledge throughout the whole process. She helped me so much on the wedding day- arriving ahead of schedule with two servers. She was not only professional throughout the process, but also very kind. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars!!! About me: I’m Edelina, the owner of Event Details and principal coordinator. I have worked in and around the event business for 19 years. I started as an event consultant, renting event equipment in 2000. While working at Event Rentals, and as part of my Master’s degree in Communications, I interned for a wedding coordinator concurrently and learned the ropes at an event company beginning in 2001. After the owner decided to sell parts of the company, I finished working my events there and started up under my own name in 2003. I was certified in Events Management from George Washington University in 2002. Since then I have helped coordinate weddings, bar mitzvahs, wedding showers, bachelorette parties, baby showers, retirement parties and birthday parties. No event has been too big yet, but feel free to challenge us! We’re looking forward to meeting you and making your event a success!
We have 9 different levels of service that range from DIY consultations where you just pick our brains to full-on "you just got engaged and want us to help every step of the way." We don't believe in meeting with you, signing a contract and then we don't see you until the day of your event. We are just the opposite, any of our brides can attest to that. Our focus is on your happiness, saving you money and providing you peace of mind.
In addition to Wedding Services, we also offer Party Planning assistance. We can help find you a venue, select a menu, help coordinate with caterers, recommend wait staff and bartender service, and can help with favors and decorations.

An emcee is an extension of the host or the event organizers. Ensuring the essence of the event is communicated well enough. Emcee breathes energy and enthusiasm…
