Fifty Cent Jazz Quartet

Fifty Cent Quartet is a combo of string players dedicated to fusing the genre of jazz with the world of stringed instruments. Based in Waco, TX, the combo aims to inspire fellow string players to explore the world of jazz and bring awareness to the unique jazz Strings genre through their thrilling performances of high-octane fiddle pieces, to more laid-back and contemplative jazz standards. Formed in 2022, the group is a continuation of a seemingly long-lost Jazz String Quartet program at Baylor University which had been absent for over 10 years. Under the guidance of their coach, Baylor University’s Wayne Fisher Jazz Program Director Alex Parker, the group strives to showcase the amazing musical possibilities of such unconventional jazz instruments. Fifty Cent Quartet currently performs regularly throughout Central Texas.
