Freddy is a saxophonist in Edmonton with a variety of playing experience. He has played in jazz clubs, weddings, cruise ships, festivals, bars, cafes, halls, banquets, fundraisers, parties and other celebrations. He frequently plays jazz (bop, swing, fusion etc.) as well as pop, funk, soul/RnB, blues and world music. Freddy performs with various instrumentations including jazz duo, organ trios, jazz quartets, big bands, Latin groups, Ukrainian bands and blues bands.
Our architectural firm hired Fred and his trio for our 40th Anniversary Party. He was incredibly professional, checking in periodically before our event to confirm our expectations and answer any questions we had. The trio was fantastic, everyone had rave reviews for us throughout the night. Would recommend to anyone looking to elevate any event !

I am a sax player in Edmonton with lots of experience playing Jazz, Blues, Funk, Rock, World Music etc. I play in venues/situations such as clubs, bars, halls, banquets, parties, concerts etc. I have been hired as sideman for gigs, as well as having my own projects as band leader on different occasions. I greatly enjoy making new friends and connections and expanding my musical experiences!
Depending on the gig, I would need a mic for my sax, possibly a PA/Monitors. I play with many different musicians so much of the set up is dependent on their instrumentation, amps and other preferences. Lighting can be minimal or very bright, it does not matter, I usually play with all my music memorized or by ear, so it is not necessary for me to be able to see that well.
