Overview
Grammy Nominee Scott Marvill assembled Freeport Jazz originally in 1981. This current version formed in 2006. Freeport Jazz has shared the stage and studio with rising artists, legends and Grammy award winners in the jazz community such as Bob James, Kirk Whalum, Gerald Albright, Chuck Loeb, Jeff Lorber, Andy Snitzer, Tony Exum Jr, Jeff Ryan, Adrian Crutchfield, Ragan Whiteside, Jeff Kashiwa, Oli Silk, Nils, Bob Baldwin, Tower Of Power, Special EFX, Grover Washington Jr. and many others. Also, there have been countless weddings, corporate events, and general celebrations. See what the buzz is about!.

Freeport perfectly delivered flawless music during our August 23, 2019 Wedding Rehearsal Dinner. Outstanding set list and they effortless moved from Jazz to R&B to Rock to the Classics. These guys are true professionals and are very affordable. A bonus was the fact that they add excellent vocals to several songs. We unhesitatingly recommend Freeport!!!

Had the smaller 3 piece version for my daughters wedding. Played for pre-wedding seating, the piano played her entrance song, then they played cocktail hour & through dinner. Absolutely cannot rave enough about these guys! Funny, kind, professional, down to earth, affordable but mostly Phenomenal Music. Could never thank you enough for making my daughters wedding classy and smooth this weekend. Sooooo Many guests complimented you guys to us...still are even today!!!! Thank You!!!!*
added note: *These guys came to our rescue without hesitation and with the kindness and love of just playing music shining through when another unnamed band in the area backed out a month before the date.* Can never thank these guys enough...really. Best booking of the wedding!!!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with these guys! I actually had the smaller version of the band called Jazzen. They were perfect for the intimate space and party I had (surprise 50th birthday party for my husband). Scott was so good to work with not to mention so nice! Truly a night we will always remember (husband is still in awe the morning after)!
