Hello! My name is Gabriel and I am a cellist and teacher with a degree in music from Texas State University. I have played with groups such as the Lone Star Philharmonic, Symphony Viva, Texas State University Symphony, Ember Island Quartet, and as a solo performer having performed in many venues in Texas as well as in Hungary, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
I am a solo performer and have a repertoire of selections for most events. I can also learn arrangements of desired songs and pieces if I can find the arrangements. If you would like to have more of a quartet, duet, etc. I can recruit a number of my colleagues and we can later discuss the pricing and details.
Gabriel was a pleasure to have at our wedding. He did a great job and was easy to communicate with. I'd recommend him to anyone.
Gabriel did an amazing job with his performance at our daughter’s wedding. Highly recommend his services.
Very well prepared. Lovely sounds and learned an arrangement within a weeks notice and nailed it!
Price Range: $250 - $900

I have range of repertoire for almost every event. I mostly play classical pieces for weddings and relaxing ambience for parties and events. I also take request and will search for the song or piece and report to you if I was able to find a cello arrangement or not. If the weather for an outdoor event becomes unfavorable and may cause damage to my instrument, I reserve the right to cancel my performance with a refund unless the event be moved indoors. I will play for the duration of the time agreed upon or on the gig request. For weddings or other coordinated events, please communicate where and when you want me to play certain pieces.
I have been playing the cello since I was 15 years old. I attended Texas State University where I received a Dual Bachelors degree in Music and German. I am now currently a teacher to young cellists and violinists and am a member of the Lone Star Philharmonic Orchestra and have performed with other orchestras, quartets, trios, duets, and solo works in many venues from Texas to as far as the Czech Republic.
I am a solo act, but if you would like the fuller sound of an ensemble, we can discuss the pricing for me to recruit some colleagues and other musicians. Many pop covers sound a little off with just "a capella" cello and I can find a piano accompanist or other instruments to accompany.

I was inspired to play the cello by listening to the Finnish band Apocalyptica play metal music on cellos. I also take a lot of my artistic interpretations of the music from my teacher Dr. Karla Hamelin and the cellist Daniel Mueller Schott. I enjoy mostly the repertoire from the Baroque and Romantic periods of classical music.
