Our band specializes in both modern and traditional jazz music: American swing band music made popular by Benny Goodman and Charlie Christian; the sophisticated style of Billie Holiday; Parisian 40's jazz a'la Django Reinhardt; and the modern sounds of Chet Baker and Pat Martino, to name a few. We can mix and match instrumentation across guitar, bass, drums, vocals, clarinet, trumpet, and violin. Our professional musicians have performed at venues like the Green Mill, Andy's Jazz, Crown Rooftop at the Tribune building, and the Joffrey Ballet. Our music is perfect for weddings and private events. We can cater our style and song choice to make for a meaningful and memorable performance.

We typically perform in the following scenarios but can also modify based on the event:
1. Traditional jazz (1930s-1940s) - Mid-century style guitar(s), drum kit, standup acoustic bass, (optional) clarinet, and (optional) singer with a classic-looking microphone. We dress professionally and in the style of the time period.
2. 1960s to modern sounds- Hollow-body jazz guitar, drum kit, standup acoustic bass, (optional) trumpet, (optional) clarinet, and (optional) singer. We dress appropriately to the performance, whether formal or business casual or other.
3. Parisian swing / gypsy jazz - 1930s/40s style guitars, standup acoustic bass, (optional) clarinet, (optional) violin, and (optional) singer with a classic-looking microphone. We dress professionally and in the style of the time period.
Our group is made up of a mix of full-time musicians and people who are business professionals by day and passionate musicians at all other times. Some of us met each other while playing 1940s jazz music, while others of us met while playing modern jazz. We stay together not just because we respect each other's playing but because we respect each other on a professional and personal level. We treat each client and performance with the utmost respect and love creating great memories for our clients and listeners.
