We hired Gloria to play upbeat music at our family-friendly Waterfront Festival and she was FABULOUS! Gloria and the band members were incredibly kind, flexible, and talented. They understood that we didn't have all the necessary equipment for a multi-person band and brought and set up their own sound system. They even played an extra encore which beautifully filled in some space toward the end of the festival. Gloria and the band set exactly the fun and joyful mood that we hoped for and engaged the intergenerational audience who were both sitting in front of the stage and running and dancing on the other side of the field. Gloria Anderson is a true artist. Exploring the many facets of music, she performs throughout the Tristate area singing -Jazz, Gospel, Pop and R&B. Her resume also includes the occasional commercial acting project. Currently, she appears in the Tylenol Arthritis commercial entitled, "What Moves Me" on the internet.
In Rhythm and Blues, Gloria has been the featured vocalist singing with the Prince of Harlem, Lonnie Youngblood, and as background vocals for the legendary Maxine Brown.
With Melvin Davis, jazz organist extraordinaire and vocalist, she has been featured at various venues for special events and parties, weddings and funerals, clubs, restaurants and concert halls like: Showman’s Jazz Club in NYC; in New Jersey performing at Symphony Space theatre, the Count Basie theatre and the Brownstone banquet hall and Trumpet’s Jazz Club.
Gloria was featured for the Winter Solstice Jazz Vespers at The First Corinthians Baptist Church in Teaneck, NJ. At the Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park, New York, NY, Gloria is frequently hired to sing. She has also performed at various senior organizations like the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center and Isabella Geriatric Center and with Phyllis Jourbert Singers and the Late Night Show Gospel choir.
