Grace & Gravy: Husband and wife acoustic band covering popular rock hits from the 1970's-2000's. Playing multiple genres of music while creating their own unique twist combining jam band roots with classical jazz and don't forget the FUNK!
Be it background ambience, opening or headlining act, this duo will not disappoint. They can keep your venue or party goers entertained with their music and their banter. Denny and Beth (Grace & Gravy) love to engage with the people and one another during their shows. They are serious about their music and mission, but they also clearly enjoy each other and that makes their shows inspiring and fun.
Grace & Gravy are a fun husband and wife acoustic duo who play a great mix of music that our farmers market customers always enjoy. It's not often you hear a whimsical Tom Petty melody on the flute. This couple are not only talented musicians, but they are also easy to work with and always ready to play on time.
Response from Grace & Gravy:
Thank you so much for your kind words Kristina! We absolutely love playing for your patrons at the Joplin Empire Market!

Grace & Gravy Music is an outreach music ministry. Though the band plays both secular and Christian music, the mission of the group is to entertain people with great music and plant seeds of the good news of Jesus Christ.
The band is a folk/rock duo made by Denny and Beth Kirkpatrick, who are also husband and wife. Denny has played guitar 20 years and Beth has played flute since age 9 but has served in a professional capacity in a rock band for the past 10 years and is also a flute instructor. The couple has been married 28 years and been playing music together for 20 since Denny started playing guitar. Beth also plays the piano and you might catch her using her melodica on a few songs from time-to-time.
The music of Grace & Gravy has been called "unique and jammy," as well as "groovy." Denny and Beth are long time fans of bands like The Grateful Dead, Phish and The String Cheese Incident and that definitely comes across in their music, as does their love of 90's grunge rock and 80's alternative tracks. One theme that rings true of Grace & Gravy is fun. If you book them, people will smile and enjoy this band and the delightful nature of this couple because they have fun playing together and play fun covers that most people know and love.
