Grace's quirky, story-like songwriting and decade-spanning cover selections engage audiences of all ages. Her folk-pop sound contains elements of blues and jazz and showcases her classical vocal training. Grace accompanies herself on the guitar, ukulele, and piano, and she is excited to share her music with you!
Grace was amazing singing the National Anthem at our State Playoff soccer game. She has a beautiful voice and everyone loved her rendition. We highly recommend. She was also lovely to work with - communication was five star.

Grace Minnick’s crafted, story-centered lyrics move people to laugh, cry, and sing along. Her cobalt-Blues soprano voice floats over warm acoustic instruments. Her musical influences – The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, choral music, and Blues rock – infuse her Folk sound with elements of the 60’s and 70’s. Grace currently writes, creates, and performs new songs, leading her own band as well as adding harmonies and instrumentation to the Addison Agen Band and the Jenn Cristy Band. Grace recently released a music video for her song “Eyes” from her latest album Mostly Home.
Extended Bio:
Grace began wowing audiences with her unabashed, sweet, and quirky stage presence at the piano in her living room at the age of two. By the age of four, she started honing her musical skills by beginning piano lessons. She joined the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir’s preparatory program at age five and was admitted into the organization a year early at age seven. It was in the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir that Grace fell in love with solfege and became well-versed in music theory. The FWCC introduced her to many musical genres and provided international touring experiences.
At the age of eleven, Grace wrote her first real song (though she debuted her first original melody while accompanying herself on the living room piano at the age of two). That same year, she began performing at open mic nights and small family functions. The next year, Grace started guitar lessons with her mentor Sunny Taylor. Sunny taught her how to refine her lyrics, pick interesting chord structures, and pull together an engaging set list. Grace soon developed a passion for lyrics and taught herself to play the ukulele at the age of fourteen. Her songs tell stories of young relationships, breakup revenge, life at the lake, and other expressions of joy, loss, and humor that she witnesses in the lives of people around her.
In 2014, Grace released her first album of original songs, entitled Falling in Like. She recorded her second studio album - Optimism - in 2016, following her sophomore year at Indiana University. Both projects were produced by Mark Hornsby at Sweetwater Studios in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 2018, Grace progressed to the quarterfinals of Bloomington's Battle of the Bands at the Bluebird as a solo act. She brought three of her instrumentalist friends and three backup singers to compete as a group. The Grace Minnick Band ended up winning the competition and won studio time - which they used to record Grace's third studio album Mostly Home.
