Groove Kitty, a north San Diego county based band ready to groove with you! This all live 5pc power punch of rock and pop went from playing the local circuit to touring the western region for Casino, Corporate, Venue Stages, and Entertainment projects. Groove Kitty has taken your favorite guilty pleasure hits and put them together creating a constant sing a long dace along atmosphere. We are vetted at accommodating the needs and requests of each event, and work with a wide repertoire of rock, pop, groove hits. And, our 80's Event.... KITTY IN PINK- is all about the rock, pop, new wave, glam and fun of the 80's...... pure fun.
Beth Vinas- lead vox- / Lead Vocalist Beth Vinas came to Groove Kitty from a professional history as a session and union pianist. With a degree in classical piano ( UCI) Beth worked on the keys and back up vox for projects from orchestra pits, operas, and Motown casino bands. She runs Studio at CCMA, and her entire professional life has been as a musician, managing musicians, and now-playing with Groove Kitty!
Matt Rice- / Lead Guitar BU VOX-/ Guitarist Matt Rice had humble beginnings playing acoustic guitar for the Saint Tim's youth mass until he got his hands on his first Strat, and than his life as a lead guitarist was born. With a knack for detail, an ear for dynamics, and a joy for the Journey or Glam Rock solos, Matts arrival as our very own Metal Kitty. You may catch him rushing a stage with a KISS tribute here and there- where he loves to be a fan- or play a mean cowbell as well.
Zac Sestina- Drums- BU VOX-/ Vetted, professional, experienced- Zac came to Groove Kitty with a world of history in touring and working bands across the western region. When things get crazy, Zac holds the reigns! His absolute love for the music, and expressive crescendos and explosive dynamics enable Groove Kitty to enjoy the drama and fun of every song. Monster Kitty!
LeLa Vickery- Keys- BU VOX/ Not many keyboardist have the range, the ear, and the technical ability to play a live show - and lock in with the details- LeLa is that keyboardist. With a wide range of playing experience, and exceptional technical knowledge and extensive chorale background- LeLa turns up the signature sounds we all want and anticipate for those guilty pleasure hits. POP KITTY!
Byron Yafuso- Bass- Vox-/ Groove Kitty has is all about the bass- and Byron shoulders that responsibility like a true Groove Kat! Playing locally and regionally for years- Byron has been the " goto" bass player throughout So Cal- Coming on board as our very own Glam Kitty is a back beat we are proud to have. Look for Byron to bring out lead vocals, and that ever lovin smile-
