Kevin Richard Hotte (drums), is the founder of Groove Positive. He has been involved in the music scene since the 1970’s. Through his work with the 80’s band Renegade, Kevin worked with legendary Canadian producer Bob Gallo who produced multiple hit records for Atlantic Records and for artists such as James Brown, The Drifters, Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Bo Diddley and The Young Rascals. Since 2000, Kevin has released three CD’s of his own music which have received airplay all over the world. His music has also been used in film and television including the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Mike Biancaniello (guitar), is also the co-founder of Groove Positive. He too has been involved in the local, music scene since the 1970’s. He and Kevin started out as high school band mates playing together in a number of local bands including Renegade and the very popular MetroGnome in the early 80’s. Mike is also a guitar teacher who played a very distinct role in the development of famous Canadian singer-songwriter and recording artist Ron Sexsmith.

Andy Smith (keyboards), is another long-time citizen of the local music scene. He graduated from Brock Universtiy with a B.A. Honors in music. Andy has been teaching instrumental and vocal music for the past 10 years. Prior to this, as a member of the group Musicom which he co-founded with GP drummer Kevin Richard Hotte, the two artists composed and recorded a project which received airplay in multiple countries. They also wrote music for a number of broadcast commercials for Zellers and the Bay department stores. Andy was also a member of the very popular Niagara group The Stray who won the 97.7 FM Search For Rock contest in the late 80’s.

Sherman Arnold Jr. (bass), has been involved in the Canadian music scene since the early 80’s. With past performances in the group Miles Above where he played alongside the likes of Canadian Country singer Tim Hicks, and brothers Adam and Anthony Mancini. The group released two independent albums produced by Corey McFayden, (nephew to Aerosmith producer Jack Douglas), and toured across Canada. Prior to this Sherman was in a band called Seven Days.

Jenn Cuffe (vocals), is the vocal chanteuse of Groove Positive. Her graceful, demure manner complements the instrumental textures layered out by the rest of the band. Like all great singers, she began her career by singing in the church choir surrounded by multi-part harmonies. She previously spent the last 10 years with the band Bent Fender. Jenn has a love for music that is apparent every time she brings her sassy and classy style to the stage.
