Technical Requirements for My Service
Equipment:
I bring my own professional-grade setup, including Pioneer XDJ-1000 decks and a Pioneer DJM-800 mixer, ensuring high-quality sound and a seamless performance.
Sound System:
If the venue provides a sound system with speakers, I can integrate directly using RCA or XLR inputs. If speakers are not available, I can rent and bring a pair of professional-grade speakers upon request.
DJ Booth or Table:
A dedicated DJ booth is preferred, but I can provide a sturdy, portable table if necessary. The setup space should be stable and accommodate my equipment (approximately 3 feet by 2 feet).
Power Supply:
Access to at least two standard power outlets within 5 feet of the performance area.
Staging:
I’m adaptable to various staging environments, whether the performance requires a central spotlight to engage the crowd or a more subtle setup off to the side.
Lighting:
Ambient lighting is sufficient, but I can integrate with dynamic venue lighting setups if available. Specific lighting for my performance is not required.
This setup ensures flexibility and professionalism, allowing me to deliver a high-quality experience tailored to the venue and event. Let me know if there are any specific requirements or constraints, and I’ll be happy to adjust accordingly.
My sets are a dynamic blend of genres and styles inspired by the artists and movements that have shaped my sound. I craft my sets to build a journey, moving through disco, funk, house, and beyond, tailored to the vibe of the venue and crowd. Here’s an example of a typical set flow:
1. Opening: Laying the Foundation
Bohannon – “Let’s Start the Dance (Vocal Mix)”
Azoto – “San Salvador”
Juaneco y su Combo – “El Tren”
(This section sets a playful and groovy tone with deep funk grooves, tropical psychedelia, and Italo-flavored rhythms.)
2. Uplifting Disco and Funk Crossovers
Tony Silvester & The New Ingredient – “Cosmic Lady”
Lime – “Your Love”
Kano – “I’m Ready”
(Blending funk-infused disco with cosmic grooves, this section creates an infectious energy while showcasing tracks off the beaten path.)
3. Deep Jazzy House Transitions
Glenn Underground – “Indian Summer”
Moodymann – “Lyk U Use 2”
Ron Trent – “Altered States”
(With sultry, jazzy house grooves, I transition into a deeper atmosphere, appealing to both connoisseurs and dancefloor enthusiasts.)
4. Acid House and Underground Energy
Tyree – “Acid Over”
Mike Dunn – “Magic Feet”
DJ Pierre – “Box Energy”
(Acid synth lines and underground beats take center stage, elevating the energy into raw, hypnotic territory.)
5. Electrofunk and Boogie Fusion
Kleeer – “Tonight”
Jimmy Ross – “First True Love Affair” (Larry Levan remix)
Zapp – “Heartbreaker”
(Bringing funkier vibes with electro grooves and boogie-laden basslines, this section keeps the crowd in motion while offering unexpected nostalgia.)
6. Cooldown with Downtempo and Soulful Sounds
Faze-O – “Riding High”
LTJ Bukem – “Journey Inwards”
The Peech Boys – “Don’t Make Me Wait”
(The set closes with lush downtempo textures and soulful beats, offering a gentle landing after an eclectic musical journey.)
