Hands Free Entertaining

Damon was a great help at our Oktoberfest party. He arrived on time, was super friendly and professional. He grilled all our brats/hot dogs and helped ensure all side dishes were out and ready to serve. His help allowed us to spend time with our guests. Love knowing we could count on Damon to help us all enjoy time with friends and family.

Damon and our team provided waitstaff and chair and table movement at our wedding. They did a great job from start to finish. Every time I looked up they were clearing a table or helping out in some way. He was also a great communicator.

So we selected our venue for the views and the accessibility, but didn't think at all about support staff to help the day-of. Our caterer also didn't have any staff to support replenishment of our buffet or appetizer items, which is why we decided to look on Gig Salad to find some additional help. Damon and team to the rescue!

I can't quite explain how helpful they were, and how well they live up to their name of "Hands Free" for the event attendees. The bride and I had some ideas of how and where decor should go, but no plan on how things might actually get done. Not only did they problem solve and work with our coordinator and venue liaison, they executed flawlessly and always with a warm smile on their face.

All of the decorations were set up beautifully, and the appetizers and buffet were always filled with food for guests. We got a few check ins from Damon as the night wore on, but always asking how we were enjoying the day and they always seemed to know exactly when would be a good time as to not be at all disruptive to my and the bride's meeting with guests. I came to think of Damon as an incredibly polite and tall ninja that was working behind the scenes to make things flow for everyone's enjoyment. Heck, after we cut the cake, they volunteered to cut the remainder of our 100+ person wedding cake to serve to the guests (they're full of hidden talents!)

Luckily we were able to get them for pretty much the full time we had the venue, and there wasn't a single task they weren't willing to help with. They far surpassed our expectations, so much so we have followed up with them to send an additional tip to the one we already gave.

TL;DR - If you have any kind of event in need of some helping hands, please consider Hands Free Entertaining. They are incredibly efficient, and just generally warm and kind people to have on your team during a big/stressful event!

Feedback from guests:
Wine pours were not even 3 oz. many trips back could have been avoided. Small glasses could have been filled.
Beers were 1/2 foam and not corrected.
Although very friendly to me - some of my guests were treated differently.
Though we had more than enough supply of wine & champagne there was no need to display all at once on the table.

We worked with Damon for a special, milestone birthday party for my wife. Damon was responsive, flexible, attentive, gracious and engaged. He was an excellent host, ran our bar for the event, and also served. At each turn he was excellent, ensuring guests had a great time, and also willing to be flexible and work within our constraints. He added a level of class and sophistication to the event, and i heartily recommend him.

Damon helped us us host my 50th birthday party and did a fantastic job! We entertain a lot and know how much work it is to keep things running smoothly. This was a once in a lifetime celebration and we wanted to just relax and enjoy the night. We hired Damon so we could do just that, and it was a great choice! He arrived promptly a half an hour before the party started, just as we had arranged, and gathered all of the details as we did a walk through in the busy time before people arrived. He then jumped right in and helped with the finishing details. He kept our buffet well refreshed throughout the night by both adding fresh foods, but also heating food in the oven and refilling the chaffing dishes. It was a full house and he navigated hot dishes and kitchen prep around the guests. As the evening went on he helped guests with their drinks and other needs while tiding up the house. The band played later than we had expected (lucky us) and Damon kindly stayed later to help! I was so busy dancing and visiting with friends and family, I didn't spend time with him through the party once it got started, except when he kindly brought me a drink on the dance floor and again when he was preparing to leave for a quick summary. That means that he made a lot of independent decisions on his own and let us completely enjoy the night. I didn't know just how much he had done until the next day, when I saw how much of the party food had been used and knew he had gotten it all out perfectly for us. He had also collected the dirty plates and glasses from all over the house throughout the evening. I realized in the morning with the stacks of clean dishes and rinsed stacked piles waiting for the final dishwasher load-- just how much Damon had accomplished while hosting. If you don't often host big events, you might want to ask Damon for help with party preparation ideas too- he had good tips. If you host a lot, but want to enjoy your event, you will be very happy to have Damon's help with your celebration. Thanks again Damon, for helping to make it a perfect night!

Damon was an amazing bartender for our non-traditional wedding! He was so helpful as I hadn't hired a wedding planner and he helped me think of details that I might have otherwise missed like where the recycling bin and trash bins should be placed. Guests commented on how they loved how friendly Damon was and how they loved the conversation he brought to the bar area.
I definitely recommend hiring Damon for your event, he was a fabulous addition to our special day!

Damian was on time, dapper, polite and served as an all around kitchen aid during our birthday party. Recycling to serving to dishes. Would highly recommend hands free to help your event go smoothly.

I hired Damon to provide general catering help for a rooftop BBQ event. In retrospect this was a great decision, as Damon and his assistant helped with and took care of many of the details involved with hosting 60+ people: buffet setup, keeping the place clean, distributing appetizers, opening bottles and serving the alcohol, cleaning the place after the event finished. We couldn't have done it, and had fun, without them.

Great experience and we recommend strongly Damon.

Damon did a fantastic job at my husband’s 50th Birthday Party. We had a lot of guests at one point and many kids running around. He kept the food stocked, margaritas flowing and cleaned up all the plates our guests left lying around the house. I would hire Damon again in a heatbeat, but it will be a while before I throw another party like that.
