Hannah Anderson has delighted audiences with her sensitive and musical performances since she began playing the harp over eighteen years ago. A skilled performer in Classical, Celtic, jazz, and popular music, she enjoys sharing the beauty and magic of the harp with audiences and students in the Philadelphia area.
Hannah earned Bachelor’s degrees in Harp and Disability Studies from Vanderbilt University in 2017. Before entering Vanderbilt, she studied chamber music and music theory at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, South Carolina. Her past teachers include Kirsten Agresta Copely, Marian Shaffer, and Lelia Lattimore.
Moving a harp is a difficult process - they're large instruments, but also very fragile - so it requires some technical adjustments.
- I ask that a handicap accessible ramp be available for me to enter any buildings.
- If you would like me to perform on a stage, the stage also needs to be accessible by ramp or only a few stairs.
- If your event is outside:
- There must be a tent or enclosure of some kind. The harp cannot be in direct sunlight.
- I will provide a rug to place my harp on, but keep in mind that due to unevenness in the ground and sensitivity of my instrument it cannot be placed directly on grass or soil.
