Hari the Harpist

Hi! I'm Hari.

Born in GA, I moved to LA in 2019.
the harp I play (19 string, unknown make/model) was given to me as a gift in 2020.
having no real musical talent or experience up to that point, I really had no Idea what I was doing, but the harp felt so familiar I just could not put it down. so I practiced, every day- sometimes for hours. After doing this for about 3 months, I wanted to share my music.

So, for better or worse, I took my harp out to the streets of New Orleans! I began busking on the streets with one goal in mind: share the beautiful sounds the harp makes! over time that simple urge evolved into a more clear, focused goal; I wanted to share the instrument itself, not just the music! I began inviting random people to try the harp in between my sets, and it changed my life! It's a rare instrument and seeing the way people light up then they pluck is the most rewarding experience in the world. I began performing at gigs regularly and the rest is history!
