Performing is my passion, and I take pride in both the quality and the variety of music that I can provide. I work with the client to personalize the music style, and I will even learn a new song just for that event because I know the importance of the "special touch." I do my best to make the music selection process quick and painless by returning emails and calls promptly, and I know my hard work pays off. I love the happy looks on guests' faces when they see and hear the harp, often for the first time, and hear tunes they know being played on it. Rest assured that when you choose me to perform at your event, both you and your guests will thoroughly enjoy the experience!
My wife and I hired Heather to play at our small garden wedding and she was nothing short of perfect. Her fun, witty, and beautiful playing created the perfect ambiance and set the mood for us to say "I do". She was right on time, professional as could be, and an absolute pleasure to listen to. Could not recommend her enough!!!
Heather was terrific and an accomplished performer. Many thanks for making my brunch for 50 a success.

Sadly, as the mother-of-the-bride I only heard Heather's lovely music as the wedding party was walking down
the isle, but so many guests commented on how lovely the music was and how it set the tone for the day. Those
who arrived early were especially excited about the 'concert' before the ceremony. Thank you Heather for sharing your talent with our guests and creating a worshipful setting for this most sacred moment for our families.
We were impressed by her presentation and professionalism! Heather was easy to work with and responsive to any questions we had. Her music gave a unique experience and ambiance to the wedding! Highly recommend her for any special event!
Just hire her! She’s good! She came early to set and made our party memorable.
Our staff and residents loved having her!
She was the highlight of my event . Breathtaking. Beautiful and played great music. Thanks so much Heather.
Heather was amazing. On time, prepared, and was extremely curious. She played with grace and perfected the ambiance for the event which we hoped for. While we didn’t have a lot of music in mind, she was prepared with selections which matched the event. Heather, thank you so much for providing your beautiful music for my mothers visitation services.
5 stars, I’d recommend to everyone.
Response from Heather Hills, Harpist:
Thank you so much, Melanie. It was an honor to be included in your intimate event.
Heather was a great addition to our Christmas Worship service here in Greensboro! She was professional and easy to work with on the booking and she was completely prepared for all that we discussed. Her talent and presence exceeded our expectations and we will definitely use her for future events. Thank you Heather!
Response from Heather Hills, Harpist:
Thank you for taking the time to write this review, Matt! It was lovely to be a part of your church service yesterday. I look forward to playing for you again in the future!
Heather did great at our small event. From the beginning she was excellent to deal with regarding coordination and planning. She was incredibly professional and punctual. The quality of her music was great and we appreciate her helping make the ceremony as wonderful as possible. We received compliments on how wonderful the music was afterward.
Response from Heather Hills, Harpist:
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Greg! The ceremony site was beautiful, and I am so glad that the weather cooperated so well. I wish you and Sarah all the best!
Heather had everyone at our wedding captivating with her amazing talent. She is very knowledgeable of special events (in this case, weddings) and was also open to learning desired songs, at our request. Hearing Coldplay's Paradise and Benny King's Stand By Me during our dinner made the night when more memorable. She's an incredible professional and someone to strongly consider if you want an experience as wonderful as ours! 5 STARS!!!
Response from Heather Hills, Harpist:
Thank you so much for your review, Mary Gray! It was a pleasure to be a part of your wedding day, and I had a lot of fun with the songs you requested. I wish you and your new husband all the best!
Absolutely beautiful!
Heather was our harpist for our event last evening. She was AMAZING!!! She played nonstop and is truly a talented musician. Very professional and was beautifully dressed for the occasion. Thank you Heather for making our party memorable and special!

I believe that with everything else happening on the day of an event, the music should be the last thing you have to worry about. I can offer guidance on choosing the music for your event, and I am always happy to learn and play special requests at no extra charge. I make sure that all your questions are answered ahead of time so that when the day comes, you can sit back and enjoy the music.
The music depends on what kind of event you are hosting and what you are looking for from me. For weddings, I typically start the prelude music 30 minutes before the ceremony. I will play the processionals for the mothers, the bridal party, and the bride as well as the recessional and any music specially requested during the ceremony. For other events, I can play continuous background music or solos at appointed times during the event. If you have questions or creative ideas you want to discuss, tell me about them! I would love to work with you.
I arrive about 45 minutes before I start playing to have time to unpack and set up. I keep my space clean, ensuring that the harp adds to the elegant appearance of the venue, and I typically wear a gown or nice dress appropriate to the occasion. I enjoy dressing to match and maintain a collection of gowns in different colors, so be sure to let me know the color scheme for your event!
The harp projects well enough that it usually does not need to be amplified, so no sound equipment or electrical outlets are required. I provide my own stool, stand, and everything I need to perform. All you need to provide is the address. :)
Heather Hills earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University, graduating in 2014 with highest distinction. She has been performing for weddings and other events since 2013, having played at numerous venues throughout North Carolina and Virginia, including Rose Hill Plantation, historic All Saints Chapel, The Umstead Hotel and Spa, and Berry Hill Plantation. She has published three original arrangements of pop tunes for the harp and continues working to expand the available pop harp repertoire.
