Yes, High Definition plays weddings & parties. But, we are not your typical wedding band! High Definition is an eight member band comprised of Grammy nominated, studio caliber, national touring, music school/college trained, enthusiastic musicians. Yes, we can play all the dance favorites plus 100's of others. The key is entertaining, wowing the audience! Members of High Definition have the experience of performing at many national venues were being entertaining and talented is the criteria. When people hire HDB, they can't believe that they will have a the talents of Bob Father and Nadine Toma singing at their party or reception. And for far less money than the other bands.
High Definition Band was perfect! They played great songs with a high level of musicality. Singers and musicians were fantastic and played songs true to their original sound. We loved the horn section! They even learned a handful of new songs for us and sounded great! They also play a great Hava Negila!
David was very easy to work with, reassuring, and professional. We also had their piano player play our cocktail hour, which we missed entirely, but received complements on and it was an easy and affordable option for us.
They did a great job of keeping the party going with only one short break and otherwise continuous, seamless music. We highly recommend High Definition Band!

Our daughter and son-in-law were married on June 1, 2013 at the Otesaga Resort in Cooperstown, NY. High Definition was amazing! The beautiful ceremony music was perfect and the cocktail hour music set the tone for the entire evening. What a blast it was to have High Definition at our wedding. From the moment I started planning our wedding, I knew I wanted to have a band to get the party started, and to keep the party going. As soon as the band started playing, our dance floor was filled from the beginning to the end of the evening. Dave said "yes" to my every request--even the weird ones, and the last minutes ones as well. The band was professional, courteous, and so much fun. High Definition Band did an exceptional job providing wonderful music for our daughter's wedding. The dance floor was packed from the first dance until the last song. Dave, the band leader was very personable and the comminicated with the bride's partents and the bride and groom to ensure the entire evening went well. Wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, The High Definition Band did it all for my daughter's wedding. Dave Perrotta is easy to work with. He was flexible about timing, patient with myself and my daughter as we planned the destination wedding in the Adirondacks. The wedding was about what we wanted. The band kept everyone dancing all night, The vocals were great. The band covered classical for the ceremony, jazz for the cocktail hour and rock/dance music for the reception.
The High Definition Band did an excellent job performing at our wedding ceremony and reception. They were talented, lively, and fun; all while being classy and not going overboard. They got everyone dancing at the proper times, but kept attention on the bride and groom. High Definition was an excellent choice for our wedding. Having a band (instead of a DJ) was one of my high-priority items, and I don't regret it! Dave was really great to work with leading up to the wedding. He helped me plan out the schedule of events and was very kind the whole time, reminding me that I could have it how I wanted it since it was my special occasion. During the wedding, Nadine did a great job as Master of Ceremonies, double checking that she had the wedding party announcements absolutely correct.
The band was flexible with on-the-fly changes, and fabulous at keeping the energy up. They followed the crowd's energy. For example, if the crowd was still dancing a lot, they didn't throw in a slow song and kill the buzz. They knew when to play which songs. And they played them really well! They even let one of our friends who is a talented singer join them on stage for a song.
The next day, all our friends commented on how fun the wedding was and how great the band was. I think those two things are certainly connected!

We booked High Definition Band for our October 29, 2011 wedding in Lake Placid, NY. Having listened to some samples and reading reviews online, we knew that the Band would deliver, but we had no idea just how fantastic they would be. Within moments of the Band starting to play, our guests were up dancing, and the party never stopped until the final song; how could it - each time the Band finished one song, they rolled into another one that you just couldn't miss!
It is also worth noting that Dave and the Band were a pleasure to work with in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, being incredibly flexible with our musical requests and helping us to figure out details such as the timing of the evening. On the night of the reception, the Band played a critical role in helping the event to "flow". In fact, one of my guests thought that one of the band members was a wedding planner, she was so on the ball!

When we were planning our wedding my then husband to be had only one request - a live band. I had been to a lot of weddings but never a wedding with a live band and was extremely nervous about this. We did extensive research on all of the bands in the area, found a few we liked and polled a few people - unanimously after hearing them they all said go with High Definition. Once we contacted Dave, all of my nervousness went away. He was fantastic at making me feel like #1 he knew what he was doing and #2 what we wanted was extremely important to the band. High Definition MADE our wedding reception! By the end, everyone was in a conga line which wrapped around the whole hall; enough said! Ive never experienced a band with so much energy, and they even played a gig before our reception. I'm glad that we chose High Definition for our daughter's wedding. The variety of music that was played kept everyone on the dance floor. The musicians were all easy to work with. They learned songs for our daughter's wedding without any hesitation and did them very well. We asked them for advice on choosing a particular song, and they offered their opinion. Nadine coordinated the bridal party before announcing and then announced them clearly and professionally. The group worked with us in the other events during the reception, such as cake cutting, father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, garter, bouquet. The band was accommodating in doing any requests made and kept the guests dancing all night long. I highly recommend live music from a band as opposed to a DJ. You never get the full effect from a DJ. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the variety of music that they performed. We received so many compliments on how great the band was. I will be completely honest. First off, my husband was adamant about having a band rather than a D.J. at our reception. When we started to research bands in our area, the rates were much higher than we could afford. Somehow, we came across a pamphlet for High Definition. When I called Dave to get the rates, I was in shock and immediately skeptical. High Definition was head and shoulders less expensive than the other bands. Dave addressed these concerns and assured me that they were not in this business for the money, they just love what they do. To further prove to my husband and I, Dave invited us (with the permission of the couple) to watch them in action at a wedding. We were shocked, the band was awesome!! We booked High Definition very soon after to play during our cocktail hour and the entire reception. Dave met with us numerous times to plan for our big day. This was extremely comforting to my husband and I (in retrospect b/c during planning you are so busy) because on our wedding day, it was like we had known Dave forever, everything felt perfect!! The band even learned 3 songs for us!! Beyond accommodating! Honestly, there are not enough praises to give this group! All of our wedding guests were shocked!! They are still talking about how great the music was! One more thing to say – I don’t think there was a moment when someone was not on the dance floor, even during dinner!! They were awesome!!! High Definition blew our minds away! We hired them for our wedding ceremony which was held on the Adirondac boat on Lake George. Dave also played at our ceremony in Bolton Landing and it was just beautiful! He definitely went out of his way to make the ceremony very special for us and our families.
The wedding reception was unbelievable. Before dinner my husband and I danced a routine to "I Get a Kick out of You" which the band had learned for us. It was flawless. After dinner the music contined and we were all dancing the entire night, one song kept being played right after another. At one point I had to stop and wonder if they were going to take any breaks! All night and in the days that followed, many of our guests inquired about the band. They thought they were amazing and must have cost an arm and a leg. When they told us the price we were charged, everyone was in shock. We definitely chose the best band EVER for our wedding.

We provide stage and dance floor lighting. We simply would need two individual / independent outlets to power everything. We usually can somehow fit into any staging area. 15' by 10' is sufficient. We also feature an integrated DJ system in our state-of-the-art PA system. We also have a wireless microphone for announcements, toasts, blessings, etc.
