O.K. Indy International Jazz Pop Band

Total professionals who have been doing events for decades. Any situation or setting big or small, we can make it work. You can expect world class music all night long. We prefer to work with the planner or organizer prior to the event so that we are prepared for whatever your event will require.
We will show up early make sure we are set up on time and ready to do what YOU ask of us. We will take breaks every 45 or 60 minutes and should be fed some sort of meal at the event. We are very easy going and just want everything to go smoothly and stress free, if possible. Requests and announcements are also no problem.

OKI Band Biography
Singer Barbara W. Ochoa started out as a lead singer of the top band in Chicago, the Ralph Wilder Orchestra. She then moved to Los Angeles where she became the most requested live singer of the diverse International live music market in Southern California. She was also the lead singer of the popular Music Connection Orchestra, voted the Nation’s Best Wedding Band Pick two years on a row by “The Knot” web site. She now resides in the SF Bay Area and has assembled the outstanding musicians you will see with OrKestra International. Singer Kristina Bennett, born in Czechoslovakia, started singing in Switzerland and went on to win 1st place at the Rock FM Festival in Slovakia. Now in the Bay Area, she has performed with bands like Touch of Class, 2Delicious and Rudy & Funky Coalition. American soul singer Thomas Banks has warmed up for Boz Scaggs, The Whispers, King Curtis, Rufus Thomas, and took Rick Stevens' place in the band he formed after Tower of Power. As for the musicians, Gary Zimmerman on Guitar & Horns, Sam Cady on Keyboards and Timo Gutierrez on Percussions, they are well matched in skill and accomplishment.

Barbara Ochoa's Bio
Barbara began discovering her vocal talents in high school, at first as a hobby and then as her life's work. She is an Honors graduate from Columbia College with a major in vocal performance and audio engineering/production.
Barbara is an accomplished vocalist and a veteran of the stage and studio. She has two singles, two full length CDs and two EP to her credits as a recording artist. She has performed extensively at concert halls, ballrooms, hotels, temples, churches, and private homes in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County and Chicago areas and has toured in the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Europe.
​Trained as a jazz singer, Barbara covers all styles of music and sings in 9 different languages. She has years of experience as a studio session singer and with vocal harmonies as a backup singer. Barbara has performed in a wide range of instrumentations, ranging from solo piano to singing with tracks to 15 piece dance bands and her experience as a professional model and dancer has enhanced her dynamic stage presence even more. Let's just say she gets the job done..................whatever it may be.

I own a small sound system but I can provide a larger one upon request. I can also provide lights if need with prior notice, but they will be a little extra. My musicians have and bring their own equipment. We work as with live musicians and singers but we also use tracks to sing with on occasion, to do very specialized world music.
