Sláinte! My name is Patrick D'Arcy. I play the Great Highland Bagpipes and the Irish Uilleann Pipes made popular by movies Braveheart & Titanic; shows such as Riverdance, Celtic Woman & Celtic Thunder; as well as bands like The Chieftains, Lunasa & The Bothy Band.
Made the event!
Response from Irish Piper:
You’re welcome ☺️ Stay cool this summer, things are getting steamy! I just ordered myself a tin of Quality Street to ease the pain 😂
Patrick is wonderful. The musicianship experienced by my family and friends for St. Patrick’s Day with Patrick on the Highland Pipes, Uilleann Pipes, and Celtics Flutes (Tin Whistle) was MAGIC. Patrick took his performance to another level as he peppered in stories between each of the songs. His stories of Irish history, tradition, and culture as well as different Celtic and Irish instruments were unexpected, fascinating, funny, and all-in-all BRILLIANT.
SLÁINTE!
Response from Irish Piper:
Thank you Brian! It was so nice to meet you, your family and friends. Look forward to doing it again some time ☘️
Patrick did such a wonderful job playing the uillean pipes for my father's memorial service. He was so kind and professional and easygoing. He played beautifully and I know my father must have loved it (wherever he's at--probably surfing waves in heaven!) I can't recommend him enough--such a wonderful musician and such a beautiful send off. Thank you, Patrick!
The children were engaged during the entire performance. The Irish Piper was a true gem for our St. Patrick's Day celebration!
Having their small group play at my wife’s birthday party made it very special and memorable.
Irish piper did an amazing job for our wedding ceremony. He played so beautifully. He was very accommodating and worked with us to make our big day a success! He is very friendly and understanding. There were some last minute changes, he didn't complain about them or get upset. As the bride his kindness went a long way for me. Very reasonably priced for the distance he had to travel. It was exactly what we imagined it would be. Thank you so much!
Saying good bye to the love of my life is the hardest thing I've ever done. My husband passed away far too young (53) and I was desperate to have the perfect service for him. He was of Scottish decent and dearly loved the pipes. In the waning days of his life, he listened to various pipers and it bought him such peace as well as joy, so I knew that a great piper would be a must for his memorial. I searched and could not locate one. I stumbled upon GigSalad and gave it a try. Patrick immediately responded to my request. I was impressed by his resume so I booked him. He did not disappoint! It was such an incredible addition to the service. I know Tony, my husband, must have been smiling. Everyone at the graveside, as well as the cemetery workers, were all touched by his beautiful music. I continue to receive compliments about Patrick and how it made everything perfect.
Patrick is so incredibly professional and respectful. I wish I could upload the video so you can see for yourself. I give him my highest rating!!! Thank you, Patrick, for making my dream of a perfect farewell come true.
Great job! Thank you so much for helping make our Firfighter Memorial a huge success.
Response from Irish Piper:

Celtic music of the finest quality. I can arrange a group of musicians and dancers also if you so desire; including fiddle, mandolin, flute, tin whistle, guitar, bouzouki & bodhran. My performances can be as formal or as casual as you please. I have played everywhere from family living rooms to Carnegie Hall, and love each one equally.

The hauntingly romantic Irish pipes will be a stunning addition to your event. One of the most cherished memories from your special occasion may just be the sound of these pipes. While many people have heard pipes before, they are always moved by this gentle giant of an instrument. It fills your senses and is fascinating to watch; the tone is deep & complex with wonderful high harmonics, the low earthy growl of the three drones providing a primeval bed over which the chanter melody & regulator chords soar.
Feedback:
Erin and Nick van Ark, Langham Hotel, Pasadena, CA - "We cannot thank you enough for being part of our wedding! It truly was an incredible experience to walk down the aisle with my father to the sound of the Bonny Blue Eyed Lassie. Having the processional walk down the aisle to the pipes was a moving experience for me as the sound is so beautiful. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my Irish heritage, and I know all my family that made it over from Ireland for the wedding were thrilled as well! I cannot tell you how many guests came up to us raving about you as many had never heard the uilleann pipes before, and they loved it!
Thank you for making our ceremony truly unique and memorable!
Cheers,
Erin & Nick"
Genevieve & Victor Maciel, Los Angeles, CA - "I hired Patrick to play at my wedding in Pasadena in March 2010. Like many brides I suppose, I planned every last detail far in advance, and Patrick was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with me along the way. My fiance and I met with him a few times before the wedding to hear him play and discuss song ideas. He is an excellent musician, and moreover, has such a warm spirit that we were very glad to have him be a part of our wedding day. Patrick's uilleann pipes sounded beautiful in our church, and his trio's music was one of the highlights of our wedding. Several guests approached us afterward to say how much they enjoyed Patrick's trio."
Tara & Eddie D'Arcy - Wicklow, Ireland - I recently had the pleasure of marrying into the D'Arcy family and Patrick you could say is one of the perks that came with it. While planning the wedding we knew that having Patrick play would be essential as he is highly regarded and very well known in Ireland. People are still talking about the amazing sound of the uilleann pipes in the church and the atmosphere it created on the day, to make it extra special we got him to play as were being announced into the reception room. I couldn't speak highly enough of Patrick as a musician and as a person. His infectious personality and Irish charm will make him a pleasure to deal with and as for his music, it speaks for itself."
Sharon & Jay Varner - Burbank, CA - My husband Jay and I celebrated our Wedding on July 11, 2009 in Burbank, CA. Jay and I planned every little detail down to each table being named for an Irish County. Patrick D'Arcy was an answer to our prayers. His trio playing traditional Irish music on the patio during cocktail hour lent the perfect touch to the festive atmosphere as our guests enjoyed Black and Tans, a photo booth and hand rolled cigars. Patrick was professional yet warm and Jay and I felt as though a friend were joining our day and not just another vendor, Having Patrick perform at our wedding was the perfect unique touch that we had been looking for. Many of our guests complimented us on the uniqueness of our wedding and the beauty and liveliness of Patrick's Irish Trio. One other special touch Patrick provided us with was a fiddler to lead our guests from the ceremony site to the reception site. Our reception cards simply read "Follow the Fiddler". Our guests marveled over the mystery of this verbiage in the weeks before the wedding and joyously joined in the little parade on our day.
Jennifer and Thomas Wolverton, San Diego, CA - "We had heard Patrick play his pipes at a concert and really fell in love with the sound. We requested that Patrick play them at our wedding in San Diego in August, 2008. The entire audience was spell bound by the mystical tone of his uilleann pipes."
For acoustic performances all I need is an armless chair. For stage performing three SM58's on boom stands is ideal.
