Coordinated with Ricky who arranged to have Uncle Jack play at our Luau in east Long Beach (near CSULB). This was a small group (9) so there was no need for amplifiers, speakers, etc. Jack was the ideal player: he arrived early, played wonderful low-key background music while we dined and he ramped it up as we enjoyed his playing after dining but before diving into dessert. Jack was everything we asked for: personable, he interacted with our guests warmly, answered questions about the ukelele and Hawaiian music, gave us a wonderful blend of "old, original" Hawaiian style music and the newest iterations of the genre. like "Jawaiian"-style. He was most generous with his time. We could tell that he truly enjoyed playing this traditional music which he grew up with and it showed. He "felt" and genuinely "was" the music ... he was not someone who just learned a few chords and melodies and sang. If you are planning on Hawaiian-style entertainment for any event, I highly, highly recommend Uncle Jack.

Eddie did such a fabulous job playing the ukulele and singing. He arrived early, set up and started performing on time. He brought a great vibe to the party and everyone loved him. I would definitely hire him again!!

We hosted a church volunteer appreciation with a luau theme and Island Jams was a great addition to our night! They were responsive, communicative, and just overall a wonderful band. Braddah Noel was everything we had hoped he would be! He brought the warmth of Hawaii and the spirit of aloha to our event. He made all of our guests feel welcome with his kind and caring nature on the microphone. He is a highly skilled musician on the ukulele and his vocals are beautiful, comforting, and joyful too. These guys were amazing! Our church had a luau to celebrate our 92nd year as the first church in San Clemente. Bucci and the guys gave our event such a positive vibe. I would hire them again in an instant. Island Jams handled the logistics. The band came ready to perform with all their gear. Had it set up in no time and got to playing. I noticed that when they weren't playing the energy in the place dropped from 100% to 20%. That's the power of live performance! Wouldn't have been the same with music just over the speakers.

Pricing was affordable and we were glad they could work with us only wanting two hours. Communication was great, speedy responses that addressed all my questions. Noel came 45 minutes before the show to set up. He was super nice, came with everything he needed, dressed the part, and was fantastic with interacting with our guests. I continue to get compliments on his performance. He really added the perfect touch to our "Aloha to Summer" themed pool party. We definitely plan to book him for a future event.

We threw a Hawaiian theme birthday party for my wife, and Noel came to the house and performed for two hours. He had a great selection of songs, including a couple of wife's favorites. He has a great voice for the genre. His performance was loud enough for everyone to hear, but it didn't drown out the conversation. Noel came early, he was both professional and engaged in friendly conversation with my guest. I would recommend him to anyone.

Braddah Vince was absolutely an amazing guitarist! Hosting an open house for my Real Estate office and everyone absolutely loved him. Music was fantastic and I definitely didn't want him to stop! My small family of 30 celebrated my fathers 70th birthday with lay-o and Ricky.

Me and my bother and sisters had a 50th Anniversary party for our parents recently. We had 3 performers from Island Jams Productions singing Hawaiian music to a crowd that are mostly from Hawaii. My mom is also from Kauai so it really meant a lot to her especially to have Hawaiian music at the party. Everyone enjoyed the music. They all have great voices especially Lay-O. She is from Hawaii and did a great job singing all the Hawaiian songs. We even had my sister, nieces and friends of the family dance hula to the live music. It was a nice touch. I was booked as a DJ for a private party, and had no idea that Island Jam Productions were also booked to provide live music for the same party. The potential for chaos was huge, as the space we were designated as not large, and I had most of my gear already set up in it. What happened instead was beautifully harmonious. Right away, they were warm and friendly, yet super efficient and professional. The logistics handled, Les and Vince transformed the grounds from a backyard patio to an intimate Hawaiian grotto in seconds. Playing a combination of English and Hawaiian-language songs, they kept everyone engaged, swaying and singing along - people stopped what they were doing to listen, and there was more than one misty smile in the room. I really wish they had been able to stay and play longer - and given that I was there to provide music as well, that's saying something!

I have not enough words to describe how amazing Island Jams Production is. Ricky and his band played at a Wedding I coordinated this last weekend. They were FANTASTIC. They made our event be something out of this world. All the guests were coming to me with HUGE compliments saying this was an incredible band and where they could go to see Rick's band again. They brought me a solid and super talented Hawaiian trio complete with the local attitude and sound we wanted for my wedding in malibu.

They had all the gear, and set up two separate stages that sounded great, and didnt need any instruction from me - they knew what to do.

we gave them a list of requested songs, half of them not in a normal hawaiian bands playlist, and they did 'em no problem.

they also adapted on the fly when the bridal party took their time walking down the aisle - something you cant get with a dj.

I booked Lay-O to provide background dinner music on Ukulele for my daughters going away to college Luau. Lay-O arrived right on time and brought her cousin Nipo who played the Bass. Both were so full of Aloha spirit. From beginning to end I was beyond impressed. Because my party consisted about 30 guests, they did not need to plug in any microphones, speakers etc... The music volume was perfect! The perfect background music for our hawaiian dinner. The guests enjoyed the music and Lay-O and Nipo seemed to be enjoying themselves as they both harmonized very well together. Communiciation between Island Jams Productions couldn't have been easier and prompt.

Skeptical at first for a 2 piece band. I hired Aunty Lay-O and Bucci. Awesome duo. The gave a fricken amazing performance. Better live than on a video. They play any kine music, they choke it ya know. I would definitely hire them again. Mahalo!!

For my daugther's 8th B-Day we hired Lay-O through Island Jams and she was amazing. We had a Hawaiian themed party and the live music really made it so much more authentic and exciting. She arrived on time with plenty of time to set up. I also got several emails ahead of time confirming address and times, etc. and that was nice to know that they were on top of things. We first met Kua'ana 10 years ago when they played at our wedding here in California. I was born and raised in Honolulu and now live in Cali. These bruddahs are da real deal. If you want tacky Hawaiian, go somewhere else. But if you want real good Hawaiian music mixed with Jawaiian and reggae, you will not be disappointed hiring Kua'ana. You can tell them if you want more Hawaiian or more Jawaiian, or more reggae, they are very accomodating. So for my last daughter's one year old birthday, I really wanted to get these guys to play at her party to make our last baby luau special. Everybody at the party was so impressed with Bucci and Jack. They could hear them jamming from the street and thought we had a full band, because they sounded so full and good. They came early, set up, and were completely professional yet super cool. I couldn't have been more happy with their service/performance. Perhaps the biggest complement I can share comes from my three year old son. Just the other day he said he wanted to have his birthday here at the house like our daughter's. So we asked if it was because he wanted the balloon lady entertainment. No. The taco lady. No. Pinata. No. So we said what? He wants to have the same guys come back to play music for his party. Two weeks ago, I experienced working for the first time working with Island Jams Productions. As the wedding coordinator, its sometimes hard to work with vendors when they are not on time or don't make it a great transition in the program but working with Island Jams Productions made this happen from ceremony to cocktail to dinner reception music. The vendor had three locations to perform at different times and they were ready to have music ready in each location without a delay.
