We recently hired James Wellington and Katty Mayorga to provide musical entertainment at our mother’s 90th birthday celebration. The selections played by James and Katty were perfectly suited to our event which was largely a family gathering in honor of our mom. They played lovely background music for 3 hours to a group of 40 guests. The selections were beautifully performed by these two expert musicians who impressed us all and made a joyful occasion even more memorable. A true class act – highly recommended.
James played at a birthday party for about 30 of our friends. He is extremely skilled, had a great selection of music. Overall an excellent musician! Highly recommended.

I provide live classical guitar music, including music from the Spanish and Latin guitar repitoires, as well as works by J.S. Bach, Fernando Sor, Alexandre Tansman, Leo Brouwer, Isaac Albeniz, Francisco Tarrega and more.
I can also do instrumental arrangements of popular tunes.
If you would prefer an ensemble, I have a network of musicians that I play with regularly.

James works as a performer, composer and improviser in New York City and the surrounding Metropolitan area. James is an active member of the New York City based classical guitar duo, Duo Metropolitano. James recieved his Masters of music in Classical Guitar from the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music, where he studied with internationally renowned guitarists Joao Luiz and Frederic Hand.
