Jamon Darnell

This up & coming comedian Jamon Darnell has been through a lot and he’ll be the first to tell you he’s going to go through even more.
Inspired by the great comics of his youth such as Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Redd Foxx as well as Rodney Dangerfield along with the first cast of SNL and so many others, this native Washingtonian sees life as “When it’s all said and done, one big laugh.” He grew up in Southeast Washington, D.C. dodging everything from bullets to money hungry hood-rats and avoiding a life of crime, but not a life of making people laugh. Seeing how sad the faces were around him because of the options many of his peers had to face, he refused to let those souls go by him without placing a smile on their faces. One thing he’ll tell you, “Where I come from you have to be able to jone (a local term used to ridicule someone), that’s the culture in D.C.” It’s many people where he comes from who know how to ridicule to the hilt, some are so good that they can even make you laugh at what they say about you and that’s what he prides himself in. “If I was able to make you laugh at something I said about you. I knew that was a good joke. I also knew I had to be crafty and extremely creative to get that done.” So he transfered that energy into crafting comedy bits and creating comedy sets. As of lately he heralded as one of the best amongst his peers. He was immersed into many different cultures as a youth so he has a high level of communication and relatability. "When it comes to people we all have some common ground no matter what." Any event planner looking too book Jamon can be guaranteed to have a comedian that is very humble and connected to the people he's serving up the funny too. A very outgoing personality and an infectious attitude of positivity that is inviting pleasing. He has a high vocabulary and very mindful of his environment which makes him great at improvisational comedy. He's great for all types of events. Legend has it he once made over 250 people laugh at his cousins funeral.
