Janet is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Central Florida in her teens.
While attending college in Gainesville at the University of FL, Janet took center stage. Her first band opened for Grand Funk Railroad and since 1987, she has toured throughout the United States and abroad. She has shared the stage with numerous headline acts, some including Bo Diddley, Paul Schaffer & CBS's Late Night Band, Kenny Rogers, Ben E. King, and The Coasters. Janet's dynamic and soulful voice along with an engaging stage presence has made her in constant demand for live performances all over the world. She has sailed the seven seas as a headliner and with bands for Princess, Norwegian, and Cunard Cruise Lines.
While being at home on any concert stage, she is also sought after for studio and voice over talent, along with on - camera work for television commercials.
Since she's moved to Milwaukee, Janet has been asked to sing The National Anthem for the Milwaukee Bucks, was featured at "Jazz In the Park", "Zoo A La Cart", and appears for many concert fund raisers; most recently "Paws & Claws" Gala 2013 (Wisconsin Humane Society).
This year promises to be explosive for Janet. She was asked to record a song that is featured in "E.O.B.", a short film that has been accepted into the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
She, together with musical/director and husband, Mark Thierfelder , who is native to WI, are releasing two CD's. “Vital Roots” and “One Bridge At a Time”. They demonstrate her Spirit in the music along with Janet's voice full of verve.
